Unfortunately, this reminds me that if there’s one thing that’s consistent throughout history it’s stupidity and egomaniacal behavior throughout military and government systems. If anything, it has only grown far worse in the years since this was released.

This film is so successful in depicting the gradual loss of humanity as one becomes nothing more than a killer that it wore me out just by watching it. War is all consuming and I appreciate the fact that wartime is never glorified during this runtime.

dare i say it.. 
this is one of the best final girl films of all time
