As I work my way toward seeing every single one of Spike Lee’s narrative films (five left now!), I run into one that I’ve always been as intrigued by as I was afraid of due to its taboo premise and polarizing reception. But I gotta say, I don’t understand why we’re not talking about this film more as one of Spike’s five best, and at absolute worst, one of his ten best.
