Until I read the second paragraph, I thought it was stating that the step grandfather was trying to teach them how to apply eyeliner with a chainsaw.

I remember picking up one of these in Path of Exile!
Is this a decimation?
Fair point! (And an interesting fact I wasn’t aware of)
But I have a crazy idea. Maybe I could just pay the government preemptively rather than getting fined, and they can then hire experts with the proper equipment to handle that for me. We could even crowdsource it so they can streamline the whole process for everyone!
I knew a guy who basically argued that everyone should be in charge of building/upkeep of the roads in front of their own houses. It was so absurd that I couldn’t even continue arguing with him at that point. It broke my brain in that moment and all I could do was laugh, imagining the fucked up patchwork of a “road” system we’d have at that point.
Where. In the world. Is. Carmen’s Sandy Eggo?
What kind of bean? Don’t most varieties we eat today come from the Americas?
As a cishet male, I’m actually curious about this, myself! I was super emotional as a kid, but in my mid to late teens I virtually lost the ability to cry. Instead, my “sad” or “stressed” emotions would come out as frustration or anger. Now, my son is in his teens and he’s going through the same thing, where he’s realizing he can’t cry like he used to. Definitely interested to know if this pretty much boils down to testosterone.

Don't Dead - Open Inside@lemmy.ohaa.xyz•Focus If I On My Can't Of The Then I Tiger Outcome MustEnglish
6·5 months agoClosest thing I can get to it making any sense is “If I can’t focus on my target then I must focus on my outcome.” Or vice versa. And I dunno how “Eye of the tiger” plays into it. I think my brain is really stretching to make any logical connections…
True, and it’s just as relevant today as it was back then.
I lived in the southeast near the coast and these stickers were everywhere. Now I live in the PNW and they’re nowhere to be seen. And yet, Confederate flags are semi regular and I fear I will never escape the sound of mainstream country music…
Agreed, though I go back and forth depending on how depressed I am in a given moment.

And that’s a rock fact!
