If you already have your own audiobook files, you can self host Audiobookshelf. I self host from my NAS and use the android app while I drive, but you can also listen in your browser as well and it syncs your progress.

My old Thinkpad from work runs Linux Mint like a charm. I tried dual-booting with Windows 10/11 for awhile and it was soooo sluggish. I deleted the windows partition entirely. Any use case I needed Windows for I’ve either run successfully on Linux or found a significantly better alternative.

It’s a very cheap plastic model. Those two pegs that hold up the ship come loose very easily. Nevertheless, it still looks pretty neat. I got it from loot crate awhile ago.
