Yeah, the U.S. has something like 140,000 miles of railroads, 14x that of of a country like the UK, but because the U.S. is so massive, it is just inconvenient for most travelers, so it gets used mostly for freight shipping. (Also most of it is not high speed rails, so for many, it doesn’t make the trip for efficient time and or price wise, knowing they will likely still need to rent a car when they get to their destination)

Chicago is fairly well known for having trains as well. That said, I’ve never lived somewhere in the U.S. where you wouldn’t hear train horns at some point usually freight, but transport does happen as well. Yes. That’s how things like that work. Similar to things like the playstore, or app store and such. Apple/Google/Klarna pays for the product, you pay Apple/Google/Klarna back for the product via whatever means, Mastercard, Visa etc that you attach to their store. If they don’t receive the money from you, your account goes into bad standing with Apple/Google/Klarna, not with whoever they bought the product from, because they received their payment. So if you put a stop on the payment from your bank, it will also put your account in bad standing as owing money for a product you “already received”. It’s a shit way to do things, having a middle person, but to avoid such… don’t buy things through a middleman.

Want say “Paramount plus”, buy it from Paramount, not using another service who takes it out of your bank because you gave them permissions to upon using their service.

No worries lad, I learned the hard way. Moved to Tennessee because the spouse is from here. After work started taking instacart orders to pay off some extra expenses and shit. (Mostly loans taken to travel here when her grandparents and such were sick to make sure she got to see them before they died.). Ended up moving here and found myself in Polaski a couple times and was amazed the maps had it scouted, because fucking Verizon didn’t have the half of it and I’d say you don’t want to wind up stuck there looking for gas knocking on someones door asking for directions.

I used to download 20 miles or w.e Google would allow me to local to the device so it would make it so I could use them without service, but Polaski wasnt close enough to keep offline
