Well…since humans are part of the biological family Hominidae, technically all humans are in fact apes
Don’t get me wrong, AI code is decent and can do what you want if your instructions are specific enough. The problem is people pasting code into their terminal and not understanding what it does.
Vibe coding is basically asking an AI “Write a program that does [x]”. You’re just babysitting a computer while letting the AI do most of the work.
Fair enough, but if we’re judging validity based on when it was made then the Star Wars lore falls apart since a lot of it was made by fans and not the original creator
True. I can’t argue with that.
As for the spinoffs, although they aren’t part of the OT, they were set around that time. The Mandolorian being the exception. It was set 5 years after Return of the Jedi.
Does that count?
That’s a good way of looking at it. The Galactic Empire was definitely reminiscent of a certain 1940s regime. But don’t forget:
Many characters (especially in the spinoff shows) preferred the Empire because the republic was a bit of a shit show. War and chaos was everywhere, and the senate was gridlocked. Nothing got done because of endless debates.
The Empire also secured trade routes, improved infrastructure, and lowered crime rates (at first).
The rebels, on the other hand were terrorists. Blowing up military installations, raiding imperial supply lines, and assaulting officials. To people who weren’t suffering under the empire, the rebels looked like dangerous extremists.
The spinoffs do a great job at demonstrating how people internalise propaganda.
“I’m iust savin’, somewhere someone in this galaxy is ruling and others are being ruled. I mean, look at your race. Do you think all those people that died in wars fought by Mandalorians actually had a choice? So how are they any different than the Empire? If you were born on Mandalore, you believe one thing, if you’re born on Alderaan, ou believe somethin else.” - Migs Mayfeld.
That seems right. The lethal dose of caffeine is 100mg per kilogram of bodyweight.
I’m no scientist, but i’m pretty sure there’s a giant fusion reactor in the sky. I think it’s called The Sun or something like that.
I’m pretty sure 36 cans of Red Bull would kill you. Humans can’t handle that much caffeine.
I never said they were “good”. I said there is good and bad on both sides.
The Galactic Empire was based on Nazi Germany. The name “Stormtrooper” literally comes from the German Imperial Army.
My point is that the Empire’s goal is order and stability through domination. Darth Vader even said to Luke in Episode V:
“Join me and I will complete your training. With our combined strength, we can end this destructive conflict and bring order to the galaxy.”

Lemmy Shitpost•Yes this year is going to be really good and productive
5·10 days agoThis is a somewhat similar situation to one of my last jobs.
I was long overdue a department transfer. I requested it during a performance review. My boss told me he needed me in my current department, but would keep me in mind if an opportunity came up.
He pulled me into a meeting and told me he was going to transfer me to my desired department.
It was taking a while, so I kept asking. My boss kept giving me the same answer: “I’m still getting things ready”.
9 months went by before I finally got moved. This department tranfer nonsense was the tip of the iceberg of my boss’ BS. I was so frustrated that 1 week later, I handed in my two weeks notice.
Yes. There was a scientific conference held on Epstein’s island in 2006. Hawking was one of the scientists who attended. There is no evidence that Hawking even knew what was going on regarding the sex trafficking.

Pretty much, yeah. Chomsky was friends with Epstein, but friendship doesn’t automatically equate to criminality. As far as i’m aware, there is currently no evidence against him.
It might seem unfair, but that’s how the law works.
There is no evidence that h Hawking actually participated in wrongdoing related to Epstein. Guilt by association has no evidential basis.
You’re probably right. A story is more important than facts to them.
That’s pure speculation. Your argument is what is referred to as “guilt by association”. Your argument has no basis. It wouldn’t hold up in court.

To be fair, a history of cheating in inexcusable.
