Per KHOU on Sept 21 2018…
After the poster stayed up unnoticed for more than a month, Maravilla tweeted about the prank and it quickly went viral. McDonald’s was a good sport and applauded the students for creativity.
The restaurant recently took the poster down because the building is being remodeled. But they announced Monday it will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House for a fundraiser.
That’s really sweet how it all turned out. I’m sure it helped that they shot an incredibly marketing-professional picture.
And did a ton of free advertising.

Best kind of vandalism. I did a colouring sheet canvas thing with a friend of mine at the local brewery last year. When we were done we just stuck it on a nail that was already up on the wall. It’s been there ever since. Makes me smile every time!
