Synesthesia is any kind of crossing of senses. I had a friend in college who had synesthesia for colors and smells and shapes (I apparently smell like a purple and orange blobby shape) but she also had these weird ways of visualizing time that was also in a similar vein. It’s pretty complex and multifaceted.

I can picture smells but I don’t think I have synesthesia, I thought that was just for seeing colors from sounds and stuff?
