  • Very much agree with all that. The SPD has always been an inherently reactionary party that’s focused on preserving capitalism. It only made sense that they would ally with the fascists against the communists. Incidentally, I notice a lot of parallels between the ‘progressive’ wing of the Democratic party in the US and SPD. I wrote about that here.

    I completely agree with the criticism of KPD focusing too much on SPD and trying to work within the system, instead of organizing grassroots power and building dual power. They largely ignored the lessons from the Bolsheviks in my opinion, and refused to accept the necessity of armed struggle early on.
