Considering that this was just a PvP, you’re not losing much in picking it up as long as you don’t spend money on it. It was kinda cool to try it out for one game and realise it wasn’t ever gonna be my cup of tea.

And don’t even get me started on gaming news and influencers, who seem like they love to hate. They bitch about being stuck with CoD, then shit on anything that could someday compete with it. It’s baffling.
Nothing gets more “engagement” like that. It’s not even isolated to games, any other section of news gets the same treatment. It’s a shit show of journalism that we have today.

That’s fine and all but I’m sure most of us here just want to be able to bring our huge Steam library on the go.

There isn’t really any inherent part about ARM that is more power efficient that x86 can’t really achieve if they really want to. You’re not gonna find studies on this because it’s not really something you can make studies on about but you can read up on CPU architecture design, CISC vs RISC debates to see that the reason why ARM seems to be more power efficient is due to a bunch of other reasons. Chips and Cheese has a really good article on this but it gets very technical.
Could also look at AMD’s Z series CPUs and Intel’s Lunar Lake and upcoming Panther Lake processors.

Isn’t that just dependent on the news sources you’re following? There’s definitely some bias here and there but that’s why you should be following multiple sources from multiple backgrounds anyways.

I was in Santa Monica a few days ago before it happened and there were at least 200 people there by the afternoon. I wouldn’t be surprised if the numbers hit 300 after I left.

Considering this is very clearly targeted enterprise, there’s probably some sector of a company that works on data that’s only in the cloud anyways. They’re likely the ones asking for this. I highly doubt this would become a norm across the enterprise.

Maybe but sure as hell the rest of the world doesn’t.

To be fair, Hotmail wasn’t built by them to begin with. Wasn’t it an acquisition?

If that were the case, there wouldn’t be so many 2nd hand stores there. The number of Surugaya, Hard Off, Book Off, Lashinbangs among others and independent retro game stores are proof of this.

I may agree with your point but you need to be a lot nicer with how you word your message. Stop insulting the people trying to read your post and calm the hell down. The fediverse isn’t your dumping ground for rage and abuse. Nor is anyone here obligated to respond to your vitriol. It only serves to hurt whatever you’re trying to convey.

It really depends though. I can accept 30 FPS for stuff like a platformer, a third person brawler or a strategy game, especially so when I’m on my Deck. It’s not ideal and it makes it a bit harder to time things but it’s still playable. A first person game like Cyberpunk? You’re really stretching the limits of what “playable” means. And I’ve tried playing Battlefield 3 at 11 FPS on a MacBook back in 2010. Sure I was able to “play” it but “struggle” may have been a better word than “playable”.

Not gonna lie, I’d like to use this geotag a bunch of photos that I dont have location tagged to it.

That’s probably because Oshi no Ko is less of a idol anime and more of a drama that centers around the idol industry.

As a LN reader, I just wanted to say that Filla’s portrayal is spot on and is exactly how I imagined her to be.

Like they haven’t already done that in Asia?

So they’re doubling down and ignoring the root of the problems that they’ve found? Classic.

Saving you a click: It’s 4 Aug 2026.

It’s Japan, they dont really care about things like these. Just look at all their anime, games and doujin market.
What in the world is an NVMe port?
