Can’t even use it with Premium.
Yes, I have YouTube Premium. Family member has it, might as well take advantage of it.

I would’ve liked to have gotten one of the bulkier ones, and if I had foreseen this being an issue, I would’ve waited.

The T14’s trackpoint created a pressure spot on my screen simply from being closed. I traveled with it only a handful of times, and when I did, I had it in a light bag with hardly anything else in it. Yes, I need a laptop carry case, but regardless, this really should not be an issue.
I’ve since put a felt pad between my screen and keyboard for when I close it, but that should not be something I have to do with a $1200 laptop.
Otherwise, it’s been great.
And to think all those times I cursed CORS under my breath. Doing God’s work.
The board lacks general scalability.

I presume “vibe coder” stands for Visual Besic?

The Legend of Korra spoilers:
Korra doesn’t stakelessly get her bending back 15 seconds after losing it to Amon. They had the opportunity to give her the self-discovery arc that they tried to shoehorn into the post-Zaheer poison recovery.
The series could’ve had much better footing, in my opinion, if Korra had wrestle with that just a bit longer. Instead, a bunch of bald people show up and say, “I got you, Holmes,” and then she’s good as new.
It’s been a while, and I’ve lost some of my steam over this. But yeah, that’s the only one I’ve got the energy to type out right now.

I mean, in all of those circumstances I just hold my breath. I’m certainly not wanting to breath in a bad smell through my mouth.
But if the question is can I elect to breath through my mouth without pinching my nose, the answer is yes. I wouldn’t describe it as “shutting my nose,” though, so maybe we’re not talking about the same thing.

I start next Monday, what now?

The smell you get when your mom runs the household vacuum cleaner from the late 2000s / early 2010s at noon on Sunday.

Never felt any impetus to drink, and I have a personal aversion to recreational drugs.
Without thinking too hard about it, I probably get the most joy from learning stuff, especially when it’s within a topic of interest and has any level of application to my interests or skills. Bonus points when I make the connection myself.
I see other comments mentioning ADHD, so I’ll add that I have a diagnosis for it as well.
Good question, though. It’s been a while since I asked myself this, and I’m overdue for a reassessment. Thanks.

I don’t think there’s anything inherently wrong with being proud of impersonal achievements. If one of your parents did something considered pretty great, I think it’s generally fine to be proud of it, even though you had no agency in being born to them.
As with anything, though, it’s very possible to take it to the extreme. If an achievement or value becomes your entire personality and you begin to actively disparage others on the basis of not-being-that, as you said, that’s when I call it one of the bad “-isms.”
I see nationalism as a range within that of patriotism, but starting at that extremist point.
The thing is, AI doesn’t need to take over the world if the BiG tHiNkErS are so eager to replace humans regardless of its merit.

That corny ass song from a few years back:
“I don’t wanna be alive, I just wanna die today”
->
“I wanna be alive, I don’t wanna die today”
Didn’t even get the joke here because this is how I always imagined genie wishes working.
I wanted to make an ironic, exaggerated comment here, but irony doesn’t really work when it is 100% in line with what these people would actually say.
Change is so slow because this country has managed to form and propogate such a thoroughly oppressive system, that to call it out is to only reinforce what the people have been taught since day one.
These “freedom people” want their privilege so bad that they are willing to keep a monarch/oligarch in office who will perpetuate an oppressive system under the guise of ignorance.
I’ve got a guy like this now. I’m sure he does what he does perfectly fine, but I watched him struggle to identify a very obvious bug he pushed to production which disabled an entire function. It’s a little different now when I see him being snarky with other team members…
