I only tried to use gamescope as a launch option, but that made it so at least one of the games wouldn’t launch. I’ve not tried with others though or installing it through apt. So far switching to kde has done the trick, so not going to try fixing a problem that isn’t there anymore (so far).
oh shit, it does hahah. I guess it’s not a wayland issue then. :s
All of them lol.
Just buried the GNOME with Plasma and am quite chipper rn. Chipper as in wood chipper.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Who were some of your childhood heroes that turned out to be horrible people?English
30·1 day agoYeah, it also gives me some closure with firefly being cancelled… like I the fox executive cancelled Firefly because he didn’t like Whedon, now I know why he didn’t like him. Or at least a probable reason.
All of the issues that are described here are caused by proprietary tech that linux devs are forced to reverse engineer, so ofc not everything is going to work right off the bat. If you really care that much about a fingerprint scanner then, yeah, stick with windows and enjoy it. Good luck with that too.
but this is a tech reporter, so they’re more tech-savvy
I don’t think that’s always the case.

GLITCH Productions (Digital Circus, Gaslight District, Murder Drones, & all)@lemmy.zip•[KG] Episode 1: PilotEnglish
1·2 days agoI’m still hopeful they’ll release a full season; even though they have all the backgrounds and they might be able to re-use from the pilot, I’m sure they’ll have to create new ones from scratch for the first (second?) episode and work on the story. So, depending on they’re workflow (how digital it is) they’ll maybe release the first episode near the end of this month or mid-March, or August if they’re doing everything by hand.

Hartman agreed, saying Danny Phantom and Fairly OddParents both consisted of two 11-minute animated sections.
In the end, it would take “about ten months to do.”
That’s from conceiving the script to completion, though, he says.
However he adds “it’s sped up now with flash animation to about six months, but that’s about the time.”

Bulgur wheat and whatever veggies you have on hand + whatever spices you fancy.
Throw in 2 cups or so of the wheat, add your spices and the harder vegg (like carrots or mushrooms). Add water so it’s about 2/3 of the pot (you can add more if it’s not enough when cooking). Boil. Add softer vegg (like broccoli) after it’s reduced some if you want, or throw it in at the start if you don’t mind it falling apart. I usually add an egg once it’s cooked, but it’s not necessary; I just need the protein.
Sorry I don’t have anything more specific, I do all my cooking by feel.
AFAICT I can only get bulgur wheat at one bulk store in my city, none of the ‘big box’ stores carry it. You might also try smaller shops that cater to middle eastern communities.

I think some of those people have simply lost trust in the establishment and likely for good reason. I’ve known some kids that were put in horrible juvenile detention centres which caused them life long trauma, not to mention all the survivors of the residential schools in Canada; in those instances I can totally understand. To them I suspect filling out a ballot would cause them physical pain so when someone tells them to vote all they feel is revulsion.
Outside of situations like that, I truly don’t know. Maybe a high degree of apathy and privilege?
