Australia@aussie.zone•Australian PM says former prince Andrew has suffered ‘extraordinary fall’ but that won’t prompt another republic referendumEnglish
6·1 day agoIn other news, Tony Abbott is allegedly upset that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was not given Australian of the Year.
Abbott famously gave 93 year old Prince Phillip a Knight of the Order of Australia for having
holidaysofficial visits here more than 20 times over 72 years. The sound of sucking up could allegedly not be outdone by a thousand Dysons.
Interesting - because I barely pay any attention to it- but UK Sky News is owned by Comcast, with the Roberts family being largest shareholders while inn Australia former Sky News remains in the Murdoch stable.
Meh, is.Lemmy the only place.not owned by billionaires?

6·2 days ago“Yeah, I love the outdoors! Hey, for our first date, would you like to go hiking? I know a place really well, and everybody I’ve taken enjoyed it and was alive last I saw them. Haha.”
I was wondering if they are rebranding because people were viewing Sky News as being allegedly misleading, useless opinion and propaganda posing as news, so they needed a fresh start.
But based on people I know who watch Sky After Dark etc, I don’t think that would be the case.

3·4 days agoIf anyone is interested in investing for the betterment of the climate, you can also check out your superannuation fund(s) and where your investments are in those funds.
Some offer specific investments or investment indexes/options that are “climate friendly” or “socially conscious”. As another example, Australian Retirement Trust have Australian Shares Index and International Shares Index Hedged whose investment objective is to "Closely match the returns of the performance benchmark … and maintain a lower weighted carbon intensity.
Whatever that may mean.
Not investment advice.
