Pre-pandemic, we had a couple (as in they are together) over for supper. They’ve been friends with my wife for over twenty years now. They’ve always been into board and video games (each has their own gaming rig and every console), and overweight. Something had recently changed because their higiene had been ok so far. At some point in the conversation, it came up that they had done some research and found that IT WASN’T HEALTHY TO SHOWER EVERY DAY. They were now doing it once a week since “they didn’t exercise anyway”. Obviously, they smelled and I made that clear. We didn’t hear from them for some time after that. These were two adults who had jobs and owned a house. Mind you, their house cleaning habits had also deteriorated.
1·5 months agoI asked many years ago to add an option to send donations. They said it wasn’t needed. I wonder if additional revenue may have helped.
Their other projects are in active development, so I wouldn’t consider it to be abandoned.
I haven’t had any issues besides the desktop being occasionally unresponsive. Same thing used to happen to me in Nova.
It’s FOSS and suits my needs. But I can see why others may want to stay away from it.
Lawnchair was too bare bones for me. However, I was able to recreate 90%+ of my Nova setup with Neo.
I love reading these stories but I cry every fucking time. My two dogs passed away two years ago (black lab 13) and last year (blue nose pit 12.5). Both the goodest of boys in their own ways. I remeber their last heart beat too and will forever love them.
Glad Riley was with you for so long. Dogs are the fucking best and we don’t deserve them.
