This seems like the place to ask. What’s going on with the Canadian teams in the olympics? Have they adopted some kind of Trump-inspired tactic of just going “nu-uh!” when blatantly caught cheating, throwing tantrums like toddlers and spreading conspiracy theories. Don’t they realise they’re embarrassing themselves and their country?
They’re trying to play it off as them just being sports guys letting off steam but I believe curlers should be better than this.
That being said, “cheating” is not the word I would use to describe what’s been happening. I don’t think it’s being done intentionally or in a way that would impact the game, even though it is against the rules. The rocks should be pulled for rules violations and the players should show some humility.
For others that had not heard of this: https://edition.cnn.com/2026/02/14/sport/winter-olympics-curling-canada-sweden
This really seems like an artificial attempt to get people watching curling. If these were my kids complaining about one of them touching a rock he wasn’t supposed to, I would tell them to get over it and stop bothering me.
