Honestly, why wouldn’t he?

Honestly, why wouldn’t he?
I’m stuck in the rent-for-life trap unfortunately, but I’m stockpiling shovels, gardening tools, and heirloom seeds so that the second the lights go out my neighbours and I can get to work on turning all our lawns into productive gardens. I also have materials stockpiled for a solar still, hopefully society crumbles before it all goes bad from sitting around too long! 🤞

Funny how republicans never have any problems finding enough democrats to support their shitty policies.

Fun fact - when Obama declared that he was going to close Guantanamo Bay, mitch mcconnell decided that he would do whatever it took to keep it open, because his sole purpose for existing at that time was to obstruct Obama’s policies. He did that in part by pushing legislation that made it illegal to transfer foreign detainees to American soil, effectively making it so that there was nowhere else to keep them. It was less to do with people tolerating detainees presence and more to do with mcconnell just gumming up the works because fuck Obama.
You’re just too scared of getting even more evidence that our glorious god king heals faster than wolverine, like that time his ear and 37% of his head got shot off, and then the next day he played a perfect round of golf and cured cancer!
(Have to add /s, because that actually sounds like something a magat would say with a dead straight face… 😒 )
Go and have a look at property prices over the last 50 years and see how risky it is.

Good point. I guess I’m a little biased, having lived in the states through the Obama years when US republicans really took the mask off. Now I’m (thankfully) back here with my American wife and US-born kids, so I’m a little bit more attuned to what’s happening over there than the average Aussie. It really chaps my ass when some “enlightened” Australian drops a “well trump is doing a good job on (random thing) at least.” No Sharon, trump isn’t doing, and hasn’t done, a good job on literally anything and may already have ended the global rules based order.

Honestly, I wish more Aussies would learn about what’s happening in America, then maybe one nation wouldn’t be surging in the polls right now.

I’m on the East Coast and I’ve heard barely anything about it. Based on recent polling, seems like this is the kind of country quite a few of us want.

It didn’t seem very cool in the movie. Or maybe that was your point… 🤔

Are the far left in the room with us right now?

That’s exactly what I’m talking about, a progressive version of redmap. Subverting the Democrat party is the only viable option within the system, starting a third party is pretty much off the table unless you have countless billions. I think we all need to unite on that.

How about rather than “work with” the DNC, take over the DNC. It worked for the tea party/maga. Go back to 2010 and there were still a lot of moderate republicans in the party, now you could argue that there are basically none. True progressives need to do a similar thing with the Democrat party, take over at every level until conservative Democrats are just a memory. I’m no political strategist, so there could very well be something (or a great many things) I’m missing, but if it worked for them why can’t it work for us?

Don’t forget the Biden Crime Family™!

Why would you wish that on Schumer’s family? What have they done to you???

You sure you really want that? If republicans start backing off now, people will forget all this, repubs will start winning elections again, the country will carry on like none of this ever happened, and we’ll be right back here a few cycles from now. The only way to solve this problem for any length of time is to follow it to its bitter end, anything else is just kicking the can down the road.
The first comment. 🤣

I like where your head’s at!

I’d argue that everything that has happened since and the “consequences” for everyone involved in J6 is the most irrefutable proof that America already was broken.
Nothing you said is untrue, but the topic is how trump views Australia, and I think you’re giving him far too much credit. I’d like to see Australian leadership pull back from the US or at least not bend over to the imbecile American president.
