Right. Anti-electoralists assume the energy spent on elections would go towards other types of organizing when in reality the people interested in elections doesn’t overlap with people interested in other things.

I think of electoralism less as an either/or and more of a yes/and type of problem.

If you are a toddler your exposure to the internet is Ms. Rachel and other baby shows. I don’t think humans are learning to be mean from that, but yeah parents are a big part of it.

It’s just really frustrating and I think wrong to boil this all down to material conditions. Life experience showed me that people have held wildly different views despite having the same class position. There are people on Medicaid who hate “hand outs”. Giving that person a more stable prosperous life isn’t going to make those thoughts go away!

What I meant by invoking Mao is that we need a similar “cultural revolution” here like what happened in China. Some people just have to be eliminated. I understand why “authoritarian” measures are needed and I embrace that now. I’m not one of those naive liberals who think we can “unite”.

I ultimately want to finish reconstruction, end the slave owner bloodlines and give industry to former slaves. Give the means of production to people who actually deserve them.

I don’t care how dialectical that is because I don’t believe the fully dogmatic ML line works in the US. We need something different. Yes, there’s some nice people down here but in general I am cautious around white people especially the older ones.

I would like to understand how to manipulate parenting and this culture to turn it away from the old testament bigotry and towards some sort of empathy, but it feels like everyone has gone in the opposite direction.
