Same. Dude was very fucked up. Didn’t agree with him all the time but I liked the depth and the severe cracks and flaws in someone that wants to be a good man but is weighed down by extreme baggage.
Nah. I’d say what ruins the spirit of Star Trek is when people see a Trek they don’t like and the first thing they do is just complain about it. The new shows do not and cannot ruin the spirit of the old ones. They still exist. They stand. Unchanged. Character development, whether you like it or not, does not hampen lessons learned or impact from the older shows.
Let people enjoy the new shows in peace. Not everything requires a negative comment for literally no reason, completely unprompted.
And they can fuck off. America is completely incompatible with Canadian values. The Democratic party is so far right leaning that they’re almost a 1:1 to the Canadian Conservative party. Combine that with the demographics and Canada would immediately be thrown into a rightwing spiral.
No thanks. If they want to join Canada they can emmigrate like anyone else.

11·2 months agoYes. It is. However I’ve almost never had to use it when with Linux I’ve gotta search every third thing going wrong. Then when those things go wrong I have to end up making my own post or descending into the toxic cesspit that is any Linux community.

11·2 months agoBecause it doesn’t. Don’t misunderstand my refusal to use Linux as blindness to what garbage it is. I avoid precisely because I know what steaming pile of shit it actually is. Y’all can keep deluding yourselves all you want.

12·2 months agoI installed Linux on my roommates PC a couple years ago. Ubuntu. It took me a fucking week to get everything working.
I have not made a single assumption.
Also I don’t so much love windows as hate Linux. It’s unusable for the average person yet people keep screaming how they should move.

Linux is an OS you’re forced to use, not something you choose.

21·2 months agoNah. Because I’m not saying how awesome it is. I’m not saying that windows is amazing and how everyone should switch. I’m not suggesting that windows or Microsoft is better. I don’t idolize gates like y’all do Torvalds.
No trick question here. They literally don’t exist. If windows actually stopped working for me then I’d switch but it doesn’t for the vast majority of people.
Y’all just gotta lie and invent problems to justify your desperate notion that this year will be the year of Linux when no one wants to be around you.

Or don’t. Could not give less of a fuck.

16·2 months agoYeah. Sort of my point. The vast majority of users will never encounter problems severe enough to cause switching to a backwards OS

21·2 months agoIt is not comfortability keeping me on windows. It is the fact thag Linux does not work adequately without work that should have already been done, forcing you to do it, and the fanboys of Linux make the entire ecosystem seem toxic as fuck. Your question is based off of an incorrect assumption.

47·2 months agoI have literally never encountered a Windows Bro who says how awesome Windows is and how you should totally use it and it’s the best option and anything else is trash. No. They do not apply equally to Windows because Windows users don’t fucking care. That’s the difference. I don’t give a shit what OS I use as long as it works which is why Windows works well enough and why the constant arguments about switching don’t make sense. It works, unlike all the whiny complaints to the alternative. In my entire life I’ve never had Windows fuck up something that I didn’t actively cause myself. Switching to Linux when it’s filled with salivating cultists over some ones and zeros and who actively get off and bitching about Windows at every possible opportunity? Oh yeah. THose are some people I really wanna hang out with.
Hard pass.

It also just flies in the face of the tagline of the series. Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations. Applies to the shows as much as people. They’re allowed to be different and change things. Stagnation is death.
