Every week, #monsterdon happens in the middle of my Monday workday, and I generally follow on vicariously through the hashtag without actually watching, or sometimes miss out completely.
Every week, I wonder whether it's actually a better way to experience the movie in question.
@graydon even the cloudflare eng who wrote that line, and the sre's who deployed and dealt with it would agree.
The bigger issue for them today was that despite increased errors (detection of the problem) the code continued to get deployed, didn't have canaries or didn't have automated rollback, or whatever other operational controls for production should have been wrapped around that error getting surfaced with a crash.
I want an app I can drop text into that makes it easy to display that text big.
If I have text I want to put it in this app and show my tablet to someone and them not have to put their face way up close to the screen.
Firefox, Chrome, Simplenote, the one offline notepad app I know, all make you go two levels deep into a settings menu to change text size. I want the thing I have in various PC apps where if the text is too small, I can just go + + + + + and now it's big.
