@dansup something seems up with my pixelfed account and I genuinely don’t know who else to reach out to.

I didn’t delete anything so I can’t figure out what’s happening or where my pics and information disappeared to. It’s been like this all day.

90’s/00’s punk was so ahead of its time.

Splicing 70s punk aggression and grit with reggae, ska, and hardcore influences, all rooted in black musical traditions and decades of caribbean/african innovation.

It aged well, the songs still bang, and the message hits even harder now.

Had a moment with some students today.

They're working on a recommendation for a dive bar. Because reasons, they ended up looking up the replacement cost of urinals and were aghast that they were 3 times the cost of a normal toilet, and couldn't understand why.

"Because they're optional," I said.

They looked at me, surprised, and I went on. "You gotta have normal ones, right? Well, you know how it is: it's tough to be a guy. Other guys give you all sorts of crap if you don't do it right."

They start nodding along more and more as I went on.

"Anyway, the urinals are to help guys feel about being guys." They're nodding hard at this point. I let the moment hang in the air.

" Urinals are gender-affirming care for men." I finished with a smile, and head off.

I don't think they knew what to do with that. 🤭

@Impossible_PhD Speaking as a male, I have always thought urinals are stupid. Every single one should be replaced with a regular toilet.

We don’t have them at home, so there is no logical reason for urinals in any public washroom setting.
