apparently new gitlab accounts cannot start with "ai_", "ai-", "duo_" or "duo-", as those are reserved for LLMs.

have automatic accounts set up through LDAP or something similar which uses a username based off of the person's name? get fucked.

One of the students in our lab just spent an hour trying to figure out why a new member's LDAP account wasn't working in our GitLab. Turns out that in a recent update, usernames starting with "ai_" stopped working because... they are "reserved for GitLab AI entities"

sometimes I need to link people a tweet, and I want to use girlcockx.com, but I also want to use nitter to avoid tracking, so it would be nice if there was a nitter instance hosted on smth with a funny domain

does anyone have any good recommendations for carousel libraries?

ideally something that is very acccessible (or can have accessibility hacked onto it)

I want smth which works by using the html that's already on the page, rather than require me to do configuration in js or smth

what I am specifically using it for:
I'm currently modifying a hugo theme, which generates static html from markdown.
the theme has a carousel shortcode, however I want to go and replace the js library it is using with smth better.
it currently uses tw-elements's carousel component
however, the entire minified js library is 100kb, and I want to replace it with smth that does only carousels. (& ideally has a similar or greater feature set)

this seems to be the only carousel library that actually cares about accessibility. everything else is either div soup or accessibility is just an afterthought
