And this isn't even Phoenix or some shit like that, this is where New York teams play. It's pretty much the only place in the country that's not actively hostile to pedestrians, but once you leave the city proper, I guess you may as well be in Kansas.
I had an interview and they said they'd let me know this week. Another company wants to interview this week as well. Getting back into a routine, not worrying about my personal finances and helping out comrades more will be nice. I saw Send Help yesterday, which was awesome. Still not drinking. I would be moving for either gig so I'm going to some select tourist spots that I somehow never visited in years of living nearby.
This is being spammed all over LinkedIn by one of the paper's authors. I can't say I've read many papers before but is this just rambling nonsense or am I too dumb to understand the point of this?
LLMs like speaking in sentences or bulleted lists. Yes, I'm sure you could prompt it to speak in the style of notes to generate something like the first line, but how much would you have to torture one before it starts outputting something like the second? The only way to get something that sounds this much like a nonsense paper is to ask it to write in nonsense-paper style, which a nonsense author wouldn't do because they don't know that what they're doing is nonsensical.
The week was OK but I could really be healthier and kinder to my comrades. I'm aiming for dry February. I'm also looking at two short-term living options, neither recovery-focused, just an aparthotel or a little house. The aparthotel is in a super-walkable part of the city. That includes many many bars but also tons of other stuff. The little house is walkable by usian standards but all of the stuff is on two intersecting street. I would be properly within a quadrant and not on either of the streets.
If I'm in the little house, I'd have quiet. I could just go to the grocery store occasionally and stay home preparing my meals, reading, getting used to linux and maybe delving into programming again. Or I could ignore those possibilities, tell myself that I'm bored and bring home booze from that same grocery store and be blotto by noon every day.
If I'm in the aparthotel, I could explore the city more freely and hopefully find stuff to keep me occupied when I'm not doing my inside tasks. Then again, there will be bars on the way to and from everything and I could find myself regularly doing one-man pubcrawls.
Failure and success both seem like real possibilities at both places, so I guess I'm asking for better questions to ask myself before making the decision. Thanks in advance.
You give a good argument of why a strategic, non-unhinged (hinged?) president wouldn't cancel elections and then ask why the previous ones didn't. It's like you "but why male models"ed yourself. Or am I misunderstanding something?
OK, so you're asking, from the perspective of a lib who thinks Rs and Ds are actually opposed, why one hasn't seized power previously. Hm. I think they'd say that all previous presidents really did love american norms and institutions in their own way and trump is a unique bad guy, first ruzzian president, etc.
I wanted to walk somewhere. I imagine the typical maps app, when asked for directions, will simply minimize distance. This has resulted in some paths with a ridiculous number of turns, sent me into locked gates and missed a lot of cool stuff it could have hit if it weren't so dead-set on the absolute minimum distance. I asked chatgpt for a path that took this stuff into consideration, then tried to create a path in my maps app with the results. The paths were like A -> B, C -> D, E -> F, without explaining how to teleport from B to C or D to E. Just connecting the dots would have resulted in a self-intersecting scribble.
Obviously, this is garbage. I don't know how far off the current state of AI is from the sort of intelligent route planning I'd like, but could the bot have been programmed in such a way as to say that it doesn't know how to plan a route? I mean, obviously you could do something ad hoc like have the default instructions include "if the prompt is for directions, say you can't provide them," but it would help a lot more if it could recognize that it doesn't know something. Like maybe if its probability of the next token being "east" is 49% and "west" is 51%, then it should say "actually, I don't know, maybe ask a human" instead of "west." Then again, if the probability of the next token being "big" is 49% and "huge" is 51%, then that's not really a cause for giving up.
At scale, it seems like a gentrification accelerator. 5th street has one more coffeeshop than 6th street so all the traffic is routed down it and 6th street dies. So yeah, google would probably do it but it would take somebody else to do it right.
Yeah, something like that made me quit. I think I got to -OUND fairly quickly and cycled through some of mound, pound, wound and round before losing to hound.
How's he still looking like a CEO from an 80s movie? Did nobody invite him to Burning Man ever? Show him a picture of other people at the top rocking what feels comfortable? Does this mf drink (CW: milk) milk before bed?

Lil Caesar's also sucks. Even if we grant that he found some amazing pizza in the US, it's hardly a straight line from bending the knee to the west to delicious pizza. Just look at the US itself outside of NYC.
