    The key is for privileged people to give people from marginalised groups more opportunities to make up for the ones they have lost.

    Studies have found the most logical and fastest keyboard layout is not between key orders like qwerty and dvorak, but one that prioritises the size of keys depending on the frequency of those letters in the language being typed, regardless of the ordering.

    This Apple keyboard has an English layout. More frequently used letters in english are larger and slightly taller, less used letters are smaller and lower, which conveniently prevents tyops.,

    I am graduating from UC Davis, which will result on less inside info on systemic ableism at UC. The folks who were active in UC Access Now have gone on to other efforts or have retreated to take care of their own health & careers.

    I still want to cover systemic , especially systemic ableism in higher education and academia via this account. But it will be harder to get the latest dope on UC's actions so less of that will probably show up here.

    I know I seem like I have it together, but some days, I am genuinely terrified for my future. I have one amazing freelance client, but as a trans person in tech with soft skills - and as a trans journalist - work started drying up after the election last year.

    I don't think it's very relevant what Vance , Hegseth, US officials are saying. Trump is making clear that he sees Putin as a close friend and ally he wants to improve relations with. Regardless his invasion of Ukraine , warcrimes, corruption etc. He is even repeating Putin's talking points.
    So we can never trust a US government with anything, especially not related to Russia as long as Trump is president.

    I tried with my son (16). It didn't work. He's still helping LNP vote for tougher youth laws.

    That could be my fault. Problem is that I can't convince anyone.

    I can't convince my wife to wear a mask, and I can't convince my son and daughters school to start calling International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination instead of Harmony day, let alone help them to mask up :(
