Earlier this weekend, Trump described his peace plan as a document which Zelenskyy had to accept before Thursday, or they would lose support from the US.

Now Marco Rubio says that it is just a working document which will be revised many times, and it will take more time to find agreement.

Trump has now set a deadline for Thursday next week, where he demands Ukraine signs an agreement to meet Putin’s demands:

— No NATO membership
— A reduction of its military to just 600,000 troops
— Accepting the loss of Donetsk, Luhansk, Crimea, and most of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia
— Forcing Ukrainian elections within 100 days

While Russia will
— Reenter the G8
— Have all sanctions lifted

This is not a peace agreement. This is capitulation.

Predictable like clockwork, Trump accuses the newly released Epstein e-mails of being a hoax.

How does that even work?

These e-mails came from the Epstein Estate. They were stored on and timestamped by a Gmail server. They were reviewed by the FBI and shared with Republicans on The House Oversight Committee, so how could Democrats fake that?

Is he saying Democrats took a time machine back to 2011 to get Jeffrey Epstein to write that Trump spent hours with one of the rape victims?

Come on.

Chinese tech company DJI launches a robot vacuum with built in cameras and advertises that you can call up the vacuum from anywhere and look around your home.

On their website, they even found it relevant to show the vacuum looking around someone’s bedroom.

Let’s recap: China + camera = suveillance in your bedroom.

That’s a hard pass.

In today’s episode of “A day of war” (DR tv), the crew had moved to Kyiv to talk to Artem Belenkov of the 412th regiment.

He explained that in some ways, the Ukrainians were looking forward to winter, because winter is much more deadly for advancing infantry as drones can easily see movement on the ground. And because Putin is forcing the Russians to move, while the Ukrainians stay hidden, this means enormous losses for Russia.

So expect Russian casualty rates to go up in the months ahead.

Give it two more weeks and Trump will have claimed to have ended the war between Denmark and Australia, because Vikings against Australian soldiers on big kangaroos, strong kangaroos, was a bloody mess, and Denmark took so many loses at Sydney harbour, they do not have a workforce in Denmark anymore, and the world is now running out of LEGO bricks — big beautiful bricks — strong bricks — because they just can't make them after the battle at Melbourne, where Denmark lost 7 million soldiers.

This is my local fjord near the old Tirsbæk Estate. In the summer this is a popular bathing spot, and many kayakers use the boat ramp here all year round.

Danish tourism is very focused on Copenhagen, so there are so many things most tourists never see. Perhaps I should start a YouTube channel called Don't visit Copenhagen, showing all of it.

I was out a bit late for photography, but luckily I brought a very bright lens that saved the photos (Sony 24-70 f/2.8).

@randahl Ah, l'esprit d'escalier. :) From where I come from in Germany "blank" means "strahlend" (shining) or "glänzend" (shiny) as in metal surfaces or mirrors. This fits better to your pictures and the Danish term.

Say you have a 26-year-old codebase of around 10,000 lines of C (a CLI app for Unix/Linux and no special hardware access or related to device drivers etc). It still works, but the code is messy because you were less experienced at that time. Now it's time to rewrite it from scratch. What language would you choose? Go? Rust? Python?

@nixCraft An Italian hacker group ran a shell server where everyone was root for a while. Interestingly, the user base divided itself into maintainers, users, and vandals. People were constantly breaking things, others would fix it. Society in a root shell.
