@Jage Does the dot pad have a respectable api? I'm trying to get access to Monarch and its internals to produce oscilloscope / live data mapping/visualization and they look at me like I sprouted a third working eye.

We were supposed to have an orchestra event to go to tomorrow. With my wife still feeling not well, we just planned to listen to it on the radio as our local station simulcasts it. It doesn't sound the same as being in our cool seats, but we had no idea how we'd even get there. Looked at email and with a sigh of relief, read it'd been cancelled and that they'd try to reschedule. Down with that plan.

I would not be here except for the countless hours spent at my bedside as I grew up in and out of hospitals. They noticed infection when others missed it. They would sit in my room as I laid awake in pain as they charted. There is nothing or no way I can say thank you to my unsung heroes, my nurses, who worked with my doctors to heal me and save my leg from amputation. Think about nurses that have blessed you. Thank you nurses!

Been reviewing Spanish with duolingo. Of course they now have an AI conversationalist that you call on the phone. I'm ahead in my knowledge for lots of things, but I'm getting to a point in lessons where I need to follow there ordering. In today's call with Lilly, the stoner girl that knows how to speak Spanish, I threw some complex words and ideas at her to see if she would keep me at the level of my lessons. Turns out she sounds like a stoner, but when she asked me how I was and then I said I was tired. Somehow we got onto the topic of what I like to do before bed and I told her I liked reading. Then we went all Spanish crazy and talked about scifi and fantasy books we liked. Impressive for those that need to practice Spanish conversation.

Solution to the alarm and many other apps and web pages that require slide, a gesture that is impossible with voiceover is the following. Go to settings, select accessibility, then select touch. Within the touch menu, simply enable the prefer single touch actions. In iOS 26, doing this allows me to effectively use the alarm like a normal person. If you do any stock or crypto trading and you aare required to slide to confirm transactions, enabling this option will stop that stupidity as well. An accessibility tip from the NER to you. Use it wisely if you need that kind of thing.

Anyone else having problems using 1password with Windows? It says it';s a Chrome legacy window and just says unknown over and over again. I can get it to work with JAWS but that's not a cool deal. Haven't tried the beta / other version as of yet.

@VE3RWJ Wonder what is occurring to block it? You tried with chrome and firefox? I'm using the app, what are you doing with Chrome and Firefox, logging on the 1password.com?

@blindndangerous Glad you fixed your issue. It's a known issue and something that's been reported to 1password and NVAccess. I can't fix mine as wmuch as it seems you havce except by running NVDA in admin mode.

@blindndangerous Yes, I am guessing that on your system, it'll break within the day. When it does, though not recommended, run NVDA as admin until they fix things / we work with MS to have them fix the Sewptember / October updates which have suppopsedly been part of what's caused this. Affects bitwarden as well and possibly other electron apps but I'm not 100% on this one.

I will say that we're now using json to generate net schedules. You won't see a difference but my web hosting bill sure does. Also, not to disappoint. Shipped schedules on "my time". Hams are good at time conversion but why? Click either my time or net time to view nets whereever you are. Add utc for free by checking the utc checkbox.

Times when AI fail is evident. I was using Aira AI, a feature where you call and interactively work with an OPENAI project Astra agent. Was trying to set up my air fryer to a specific temperature and time. About 20 minseconds in the call with the oven in full view, it said that a filter condition had been triggered. What was the filter, supposedly porn. Neither I or the human agent who came online immediately had any idea where that nonsense came from. Guess my porn egg rolls will be cooked and ready to enjoy shortly. lol

Ordered a keyboard that allows me to use it as a wired keyboard or wireless. Decided to go the keycron mechanical keyboard way. Should be interesting. So many different types of switches out there.
