god damit if I want to convert an animaged gif/webp to a mp4 video turns out I need to extract all frames THEN I use ffmpreg to join them in a video file.

I rather have one command to do it that i can call ass a dependency :/

    @NiwlCraft Unless you were to do nothing and the case was open, you'd suffocate it. First it would thermal throttle and then shutdown, but no it wouldn't kill it.

    Ok, está muy bonito y funciona muy bien, pero he vuelto a Windows de momento. (Lo he dejado instalado.) Ya me pelearé otro día.

    Me gusta:

    • es muy bonito
    • he podido usar una GUI en todo momento EXCEPTO para instalar Grub Customizer porque tenía que añadir el repositorio (usado para poner Windows por defecto en el GRUB)
    • es simple y fácil de usar y recuerda mucho a Windows 10 (eso es bueno)
    • que yo sepa, todo el hardware funciona out of the box, y eso que monté este ordenador el diciembre pasado. Cascos también. Quizá quedaría mirar las luces del teclado

    No me gusta:

    • COMO VUELVA A VER OTRO PROMPT PARA PONER MI CONTRASEÑA DE USUARIO LE PEGO UN PUÑETAZO AL MONITOR
    • no funciona el FFXIV (non-Steam), que ya tengo instalado de por sí en D:, out of the box. Wine se queja de que EdgeView no se instala y Lutris requiere una configuración que ahora mismo me da palo hacer (pensaba que sería sencillo). Sé que en la Steam Deck, para hacerlo funcionar había que hacer según qué martingalas y aún así corría con algún bug, así que no lo he intentado
    • mi config de Vivaldi D: (esto no es problema de Linux)
    • Linux cambiándote la hora porque le viene bien (o mejor dicho, usando UTC más un offset vs Windows usando la hora de la BIOS - creo que lo segundo es lo correcto, pero bueno)
    • para poder poner fondos diferentes en cada pantalla, tengo que instalar más software. Argh, en Windows esto es algo que puedes hacer out of the box

    En definitiva: lo que alguna vez he dicho, que Linux no me soluciona ningún problema que pudiera tener con Windows (porque ahora mismo no tengo ningún problema con Windows). Y, como mi experiencia como técnica y usuaria se ha limitado a Windows, en Linux no sé solucionar prácticamente nada sin buscar en google. Linux me crea más problemas de los que me soluciona.

    Pero otro día le daré 20 minutos más, porque mal realmente no va.

    I just created the term "multiplayer bathrooms". They can be either:

    • PvP: fight other people for the right to pee
    • PvE: all players pee together and the highest contributor wins
    • Battle Royale: there's only one stall; defeat every single person to be able to pee
    • Team Deathmatch: form a group with other people and beat the shit out of each other. Winner group gets to pee
    • Capture the toilet paper: there's only one paper roll, fight your way through the other people until you capture it
    • Extraction: once you have peed, you will become the target. Escape as fast as possible or die trying
    • Asymmetrical PvP: one person is the Pooper, and is more powerful than you, who only wants to pee. Cooperate with other people to defeat them or die trying. Winner gets to do their stuff on the stall
    • PvPvE: form groups with other players, then pee together and see which group wins. Feel free to harass the other teams

    Cosas que me encantan del fediverso:

    • Misskey y derivados
    • La descentralización
    • La personalización e interconexión (p.ej. usar una plataforma diferente y seguir conectado)
    • El hecho de no tener un algoritmo y que sea forzosamente cronológicamente inverso
    • Siguiendo el punto anterior, el hecho de que el alcance de todas las publicaciones sea orgánico y que no haya nada dejado al azar
    • La variedad de software disponible para múltiples plataformas con una miríada de usos y opciones

    Cosas que no me gustan del fediverso:

    • Los CW, o mejor dicho, el abuso ingente que hace la mayoría de gente de ellos. No todo tiene que ser CW, no es el campo de "asunto". Please stop
    • El alt text, o lo pesada que se pone la gente con ello. Ponerlo está bien, sugerirlo está bien, enfadarse con la gente por ello no.
    • Siguiendo el punto anterior, el hecho de que tengas que tragarte el alt text te guste o no, incluso teniendo prioridad encima de la imagen (no sé quién pensó que eso era buena idea). Que venga activado por defecto está fetén, pero déjame configurarlo o desactivarlo. Llamaré a esto "accesibilidad forzada". (Esto puede que dependa del cliente - TheDesk por ejemplo permite configurarlo, pero no Aria ni las PWA de Iceshrimp ni Sharkey.)
    • Mastodon
    • Que la moderación y bloqueos de instancias quede exclusivamente a merced del moderador de la instancia
    • Pocas opciones de self-hosting fácil (esto es un apunte más que algo muy negativo)
    • La paranoia colectiva de sus gentes (por ejemplo, ver el pánico colectivo de Nostr y sus relés-puente, que en retrospectiva, igual no hacía nada malo y simplemente no lo entendíamos - ActivityPub también "copia" cuentas de una manera parecida)
