    @vkc OpenAI does this now with AI related questions. I used it, very early, to help build a site using Generative AI and parameter optimization. I would have never been able to do it without ChatGPT teaching me and then in the next few updates they nerfed the ability to get it to teach you about practical AI programming (LSTM training even).

    You don't need to use link shorteners on Mastodon. All links count as 23 characters towards your posts's maximum size, no matter how long the link really is.

    By avoiding link shorteners, you are also protecting people's privacy and reducing the risk of link rot.

    (There is a bug on the official iPhone/iPad app that means links are counted as their true length instead of 23, which is yet another reason to switch to a third party app such as Ice Cubes or Mona or Ivory.)

    I just did some math on fees. If you buy in amounts like $5 you'll have to see a 22% increase in value to overcome the fees. Even at $100 purchases you'll need to see a 5% return to see profit. While 5% can happen in a day the current 90 day trend is to lose money.

    @RememberUsAlways Been at this a while - just sharing that the fees associated with their often-pushed incremental investing / DCA strategy means you'll have to wait 6 months to break even. That's not a hedge against anything, you're losing money.
