Amazon service (AWS) was taken down by AI coding bot named Kiro

In one incident in December, engineers at AWS allowed its in-house Kiro “agentic” coding tool to make changes that sparked a 13-hour disruption, according to four sources familiar with the matter. The AI, ill-fatedly, had decided to “delete and recreate the environment,” the sources said.

Can someone point me to the price drops we were promised with mass AI adoption?

Is Coca-Cola cheaper now?
Is a McDonald’s meal cheaper?
And video games? AI is supposed to make development easier, from coding to creating assets, right?

So where are the geniuses who promised that prices would at least come down? Because it seems like companies are just pocketing the savings, charging more, and shipping worse products.

And I am not even going to mention the other problems, like the environmental damage, the loss of craftsmanship, meaning, and the real creative process, the AI-induced paranoia, and other mental health issues we never could have imagined we would be dealing with.

Meanwhile, companies are treating this like a golden opportunity. Instead of passing any savings on to consumers, they are charging more than ever while delivering worse products, worse service, and increasingly low-effort, low-quality output. It is pure garbage, and they barely even try to hide it anymore. At least before, they pretended this was about improving things.

The bottom line is insane: people cannot even afford the basic cost of living anymore. Wages have not kept up, essentials keep getting more expensive, and most people are already stretched to the limit. And now, as a society, we have apparently decided to make it even worse by destroying the few decent jobs that still exist, devaluing the ones that remain, and pushing everyone into more precarious work.

None of the 3 are, or even remotely resemble, spam.

I have contacted you and have not received any response.

At this point, I don't even know if it's worth continuing to post on a social network if my posts are not going to be seen by others.

I've seen CEOs getting way too much hate on here lately. CEOs regularly go the extra mile so we know a company is in good hands. Take Meta, for example. Mark Zuckerberg holds quarterly meetings to convince investors that he's not a virgin. That's the kind of leadership that earns you the big bucks.

Gentoo Linux's AI policy forbids any content, including code, created with LLMs, for contributions to official Gentoo projects due to copyright, quality, and ethical concerns.

But I don't like Mona app because it's not FOSS.

The Fediverse should stay open and free, this app goes against the philosophy and message we are trying to send.

Phanpy is a much better option, and you can run it as a progressive web app on your phone.
