If you use a ThinkPad that has its track point designed around the assumption that middle click is used for scroll and only scroll, it will send you crazy. Thankfully KDE can disable it in most apps through a setting, but some apps keep on doing it anyway.
The old Dysons are way better than whatever the hell they're doing nowadays. I could genuinely feel the difference in the plastic quality when I moved from an older DC 39 to a newer Big Ball (the Big Ball's is significantly worse). Not to mention the Big Ball has gone through two roller heads (both had the mechanism break). No wonder their newer cordless models have a 2 year warranty instead of the old corded 5 year. They used to be really good, if a bit expensive, but now the options from Bosch and Miele look far more attractive.
That is a bit odd. Maybe it doesn't sell that well in the EU. Here in the UK pretty much all the major retailers sell them, plus the PlayStation Direct store.
You'd be surprised at how recently the glow plug lighters were removed. I know at least a few mid 2000s VWs that came with it standard and not as part of any smoker's package option.
It was so off putting when you just wanted to share something and proceeded to get struck down by the wrath of the mods, or worse, the completely opaque auto filtering CQS system. As you can probably tell from my profile, I love making memes, but only really had the courage to start when I joined Lemmy, since if I made a bad one here it would just get downvoted and I would have a chance. This place is such a breath of fresh air.
From what I have heard, it is most likely the USS Hornet (CV-12, the museum ship, not CV-8), as Project Aces used it for 3D scans before the trailer came out. In addition, the museum staff sent out this tweet after the trailer came out:

There are no words to describe how badly I want the electric LFA concept at the end of the article to go into production. Sure, it'll be crazy expensive and low volume, but considering the wizardry that went into the original LFA I think it'd end up being one of the best cars of all time.

Edited it now, and I am realising I am way out of my depth in terms of wrangling Inkscape. The post is updated, but not a lot better. Take this meme for your troubles.

£58.99 (UK price) is the same price as Legends Z-A, despite Pokopia seemingly being a smaller side game. Even if the game is good, there is no way it's going to sell well at that price to anyone other than die-hard Pokemon fans. Persona 5 Tactica (which I really like) did the exact same thing (full game price for smaller side game) and it did not end well, copies of Tactica still linger on clearance to this day for sometimes less than 20% of the original price since a lot of the launch excitement evaporated.

It is funny how GameFAQs is so old I end up going to posts on there about the original releases of games when I'm looking for help with a remake. Props to the site admins for keeping it up this long, so many other resources have withered away over the years.

I really want this to succeed. I've had to import soundtrack CDs from Japan so many times for games I enjoy (Nintendo and non-Nintendo), so to not have to go through the import process would be so nice. I do wish Nintendo would follow the lead of other game companies however and release their soundtracks digitally on stores rather than just on Nintendo Music (which only has a limited selection). If you could just buy the FLACs or M4As off somewhere like iTunes, Qobuz, or 7digital it would save having to ship a soundtrack at all.
I was very surprised to see YouTube was not working on launch day. Considering how popular it is, I thought Nintendo and Google would have had it ready to go. Hopefully they sort it out soon.
The Wii had all sorts. At least here in the UK we got YouTube, BBC iPlayer, LoveFilm (later including Amazon Instant Video), Netflix, and Crunchyroll all to download from the Wii Shop Channel. It wasn't the best experience, since the Wii tops out at 480p and most people used composite cables that had a resolution of 480i interlaced, but it was good enough for the time.

I really want PostmarketOS to succeed, even to be good enough as a secondary device. The long term support and software flexibility seems so promising, but it is still nowhere near ready for most people.
There's still a surprising amount of devices made by HMD (who own Nokia's consumer phone brand, so you'll sometimes see them as Nokias) that run Series 30+ (think old Nokia software with some very slight modern enhancements) but have 4G hardware to play ball on modern networks.
Tried it, and I agree. Why did they make a Fire Emblem game with primarily automatic combat? On one of the first missions I literally tapped on the screen once and the rest of the fight was just automated.
