This happened one day before , but I couldn't keep the cuteness overload from you.

Mind: our cats mostly keep to themselves, even the siblings. No fighting, but Ginnie especially usually keeps a distance from the siblings. This here was a first (at least for us to witness) 😻

To be honest, it could also have something to do with Ginnie wanting the spot that Sternchen was occupying and simply squeezed herself in with her.

So it begins... again

5 wargaming miniature bases on a metal plate. Small pieces of slate and fine sand are glued onto them, but they are still completely unpainted.

Primed and first paint layers (lava wet in wet)

The 5 bases are painted: slate and sand in a very dark grey (with a slight red shine on the inclines edges), the rest in an irregular pattern of red and yellow (becoming orange where that mixes. The paint is still wet (red and yellow quite thick). The 3 Scalecolor paint "dropper" bottles that I used are next to that: SC-16 Eclipse Grey, SFX-07 Red Ecstasy and SFX-06 Speed Yellow

    Not quite what I had imagined (I probably should have stuck with the tried-and-tested PVA instead of switching to gloss varnish), but good enough to continue with.

    @tuxedocomputers Habt ihr für individuelle Tastaturlayouts (z.B. für ein InfinityBook Pro 14 oder Sirius 16) zufällig schon verfügbar oder müsste das erst erstellt werden (durch Kunde bzw. gegen Bezahlung)?

    Edit: ich rede natürlich vom aufgelaserten/gedruckten grafischen Layout, nicht der Software-Belegung 🤭

    Hadn't pained a model in about a year so this was fun. The oil wash I tried went pretty sideways on me, so she's not as spruce as I was hoping for, but definitely looks better than this crappy cellphone pic is leading onto.

    Fun project to turn a couple fish tins into a boat. I think I'll probably have another go at it before too long. We're also gonna build some scenery for the game at some point soon too I think.

    This trash bashed boat model is looking pretty damn cute after the primer coat. So excited to paint this thing.

    This is for the table top war game Scabz. You get a sardine tin or two and then use that as the base for a trash/scratch built model of a boat in whatever style you like. Quite like how my first stab at this is coming along.

    Which package manager do you prefer, and why?

    @itsfoss My favorite combination is dpkg/apt, simply because I have been using Debian and its derivatives for almost 20 years and have therefore gotten to know the tools relatively well. I can't remember any serious problems that I didn't cause myself.

    Now, I've been using Manjaro, i.e. pamac/pacman, for some time and I've got on well with it too.

    As long as it works, it's not really a relevant decision to me🤷

    @itsfoss I have always found Linux and most of its programs to be very focused on the user experience (high efficiency after training), while Windows always seemed to focus very much on the beginner experience (quick learning of basic operation, but hardly possible to become really efficient)
