I mean the real reason is they killed the brain worm...
They don't remove those, they kill them and let them rot, just like dogs and heartworm.
So not killing the worm, always it to grow and slowly get worse. Killing the worm stops it growth, but especially in a brain, the body can't really break it down.
It rots killing even more tissues around it quickly, then slowly the body encapsulates it. Way past the point it needs to, to the point it's now bigger than the dead grey matter cavity, and starts pushing up on other parts
The dude's been cooked. And while he might be able to take care of himself with the current level of brain damage, he definitely shouldn't be making high level medical decisions for the entire country
Like, it's a "joke" that they're all idiots, but a lot of people running shit these days aren't just idiots, they have serious mental impairments on top of that
The cognitive ceiling. Research by Ericsson, Mark, and Newport shows that 3-4 hours is the daily maximum for concentrated effort. Beyond that, diminishing returns.
"Diminishing returns" is still sugar coating it....
I was in a pretty intense training program, like up to 110hrs/week actively studying on top of normal military bullshit.
No matter who you are or what you're doing, you can't spend that much time actively focusing on stuff. After a certain point there's not only zero gain, but continuing to try and push through it just protracts any refractory period till you can be productive again.
We went thru it with everyone knowing it wasn't productive, because they wanted us stressed the fuck out to make sure when we were stressed the fuck out we could still function.
But it's absolutely insane for employers to do it. The only logical reason is intentionally causing burnout when there's a steady supply of new employees that can be hired for cheaper...
Which is how this all comes back to why "crunch time" is the norm with programming.
Everyone forgets trump got the Epstein files term 1.
So term 2 after Biden did nothing with it, trump (his handlers really) felt comfortable using it as a list of candidates, because if any of them don't do what Trump says at any point, they can just burn them with the blackmail material they have, and absolutely no one else would protect them.
That's why there's never going to be an article 25, even if he tries another coup.
Everyone in Trump's admin will fight tooth and nail for trump, because if trump doesn't get what he wants he releases their Epstein dirt.
It's honestly crazy they went with Nic Cage's first...
Spider-gwen has always been the obvious choice even before the movie.
I think it was really just that cage is a big name that will agree to anything. I just don't think a 62 year old live action Spiderman is going to go as well as they think it will
Documents released Thursday offer the most complete picture to date of the Trump administration’s controversial and costly plan to overhaul immigrant detention using industrial buildings. ...
For pretty much any type of product where quality shouldn't matter you can buy cheap, normal, expensive, insane.
100/1000 of cheap ones might have sleight flaws.
10/1000 normal may have flaws.
1/1000 expensive
And 1/100,000 for the insanely expensive ones may have a flaw.
So even if their optimal performanceshould be the same, the more expensive it is, the less likely the manufacturer lets subpar products out to market. Often it's vertically integrated and as batches fail they get bumped down to a different label
Do the test again, they might score the same. But do it enough, and you'll see the expensive ones eventually pull out ahead by a very sleight amount
Instead, the explanation stems from characteristics of the household: Women members of Congress are more likely to have a high-earning spouse. As the authors put it, they’re part of a “power couple.” Men members tend to come from very different households – ones in which their wives “take on flexible, lower-paying work and a disproportionate share of household responsibilities.” Women who want to run for Congress are therefore more likely to either not have childcare responsibilities or have the wealth to hire others to help with childcare.
I don't think that they have even more wealthier spouses...
But if I was doing the research I would have went thru the tiny extra bit of trouble to treat it properly as a confounding variable and quantified it...
What's more likely is that nothing about human variation is binary, and while it is mostly men attracted to personal wealth and power. But of women, if they're likely to be attracted to the personal power if office, they're also more likely to want their own personal wealth too.
That and it being more difficult for women to be elected, means the ones that do make it are more likely to be extra wealthy to compete with men. The outliers for wealth are the ones who got into politics to help others, and as such don't prioritize personal wealth. They had other motivationa to run for office. I wouldnt be surprised if all the bottom net worth female politicians were solidly progressive.
I honestly can't remember why I blocked their instance, but if they're rabidly pro-Israel across the full instance, they're not doing a very good job of enforcing it if their top thread is any example.
Seems they'd have deleted all the comments talking about Epstein's connection to Israel and Israel's history of protecting pedophiles
I'm saying the opposite isn't true either, their top post is literally filled with people shit talking Israel.
Obviously I had some sort of problem with it, because I've blocked their whole instance already. Just like I'm doing here as soon as I hit submit.
You don't have to interact with everything online. If an admin is a piece of shit, just stop going to the small insignificant corner of the Internet where they have control. It's literally that easy.

This article makes it out to be an Israeli operation...
Because this guy was Israeli and he had a (reasonably popular) Israeli bullpup?
The article to the Cali event has similar evidence it was Chinese, except the Chinese stuff was at a higher level:
“Inside the Reedley Biolab, officials observed blood, tissue and other bodily fluid samples and serums; and thousands of vials of unlabeled fluids and suspected biological material,’ raising the concern that they contained pathogens,” according to a federal report from the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party. Some of these vials were labeled with the names of pathogens in English or Mandarin.”
Like, doesn't mean as much as it used to that the Feds think it's Chineses and located it as part of an investigation into the Chinese government...
But it would seem more logical that this is just one Israeli working with the CCP, or at most that the two governments are cooperating than this is an Israeli operation that randomly has a CCP member in the media of the chain above this guy.

He was on a hit TV show 20 years ago, but it was his breakout so he probably got no residuals
He wasn't broke, he was a landlord that made like 12k/month off rent. But if his net worth was in the millions it was probably just like two LA houses that most likely still had mortgages. If you're going off websites it's probably reported wrong.
Like it's applicable to everyone because insurance shouldn't be tied to employment now that wages aren't capped due to WW2 anymore, but it's not like he was the 1% either. You gotta be well over 10 million for that.
Which should make us realize how bad wealth inequality has gotten. To the actual oligarchs Dawson and the rest of us are the same.
Even if you make it big young, if you don't keep working you'll never afford 40 years of health insurance.
He made at least one good investment and didn't blow his money. But that wasn't enough to cover a major medical condition.
The rest of us don't stand a chance, and I fully expect to be what actually gets us socialized medicine is going to be people just throwing the towel in on major medical treatment.
If a 40 year old gets cancer, we're going to see more and more people just start refusing the treatment.
Once that starts becoming normal (it's already happening) people are going to stop paying insurance because they know they'll never really use it.
That would crash the healthcare industry, and would make them "settle" for a socialized system they could still make profits.
As long as they're making money, they're happy. Which is why long term Obamacare just forcing people to pay for healthcare is probably a negative.
If it wasn't for that, lots more people would have opted out of healthcare.
Half of all consumption spending in the US comes from the top 10% we are on track for that to narrow to the top 5% in my lifetime.
Ok...
But regardless of if that's true, how does that effect the profits of the American healthcare industry besides gift shop sales?
Because I just don't understand why you think it's relevant or why American Healthcare corporations would care more about that than how much profit they're making...
They won’t notice people skipping insurance that couldn’t afford to use their insurance in the first place.
Their sweet spot is people paying for it and never using it.
All Obamacare really did, is kick the van down the road by penalizing people for making the choice not to have insurance
That was a bandaid and as it gets worse people will decide the penalty is still better. If the penalty goes away, a shit ton of people's math would change at once and it would crash the entire industry.
If it still doesn't make sense, I don't think I can explain it any simpler.
The issue was letting conservatives run the DNC under the label of "neoliberals"...
Like, there are fundamentally different ways a progressive and conservative think, to the point a brain scan can determine political leaning with an ~80% success rate after like five minutes of showing a human what to look for. Which is insanely impressive when you realize we rarely see 80% turnout in elections.
The neoliberals marketed themselves to Dem voters like we were conservatives, because that's what they are and they lack the empathy to realize anyone's different.
You can't run a successful Dem campaign off fear, because if that appealed to Dem voters we'd be voting Republican already.
That's why Obama did so well in 2008 off literally just saying "hope" and "change" over and over...
That's all it fucking takes, and now that the neoliberals aren't running the DNC, that's what will come out of the primary naturally this time.
Then it was a con long enough to get his wife and every other friend, staffer, and family member who has spoken publicly about it...
Like, that's what makes brain damage so dangerous: the subject doesn't realize they've changed.
He rationalizes away his prior opinions and it sounds like he was never progressive in the first place, he most likely doesn't think he was.
It's not like brain damage draws a line with a sudden change, it makes the person forget who they used to be. They view every memory thru the lens of the present, especially in Fettermans case where the damage is localized to frontal lobe.
I'm not defending him and this a million times worse than what you thought, but that's why we need to understand it, we're all one railroad spike to the forehead away from the same thing....

You really wanted to tell people not to make it political, but no one did so you just randomly accused me of it for no logical reason.
I legitimately don't know why mods have banned you, but at least there's something I can do. Because explaining this over and over clearly won't help you understand anything.
The Daily Mail is a known supporter of the Conservatives. They are also one of the pro-Brexit tabloids. According to a Reuters article, the Daily Mail published a controversial headline in response to a Brexit Court ruling criticizing the judges by branding them as ‘enemies of the people.’ According to CNBC, the Daily Mail has also been criticized by Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales for publishing fake news articles and “hyped up” headlines and “mastered the art of running stories that aren’t true.” Further, CNBC reported that DMG media responded by saying, “DailyMail.com is the very antithesis of click-bait and hype headlines. We just tell stories better than anyone else.”
I think you need to check places that aren't righwing tabloids...
The Daily Express is a British right-wing tabloid newspaper that routinely utilizes sensational headlines such as this: NATO TERRIFIED: Trump may ‘seriously undermine’ alliance in Putin meeting – world on ALERT. Articles are typically written by journalists or correspondents and are reasonably sourced to credible information. However, like many tabloids, the Daily Express also publishes conspiracy and pseudoscience articles such as these: ‘Portal OPENS’ above New Jersey with some fearing it’s a sign of PLANET X and Could this strange corpse be the world’s first proof aliens have visited Earth?
