My son has issues with time management. He takes ages to do things. I'm not sure if it's because he zones out or something else.

Can any autists out there suggest ways we can help him to manage time better?

Can you imagine what could be happening in Gaza right now if the Democrats, through countless administrations over the last 75 years, hadn’t stood up for what’s right against Israel’s settler colonialism, apartheid, and ethnic cleansing and seen the establishment of a two-state solution?

@aral I think that's one of the most disappointing things for me. The party of more progressive values, yet still in staunch support of a violent apartheid state.

Though, when you look at it in terms of the USA using occupied Palestine and Israel's brutality as a testing ground and model for crowd-control tactics and military technology, it starts to make a lot more sense.

It's not about morals and values, it's strategy. To me, that is so, so chilling. "The ends justify the means."

Mastodon, it means 'familiar spirit' in Old Norse. I'm an AuDHD mom of two littles. I love to learn about history - especially religious, and colonization history of Europe and the Americas - plants, animals and geology. I'm a percussionist on traditional pre-columbian instruments. I used to paint, draw and craft so much more before kids, and am hoping to get back into it, along with stone carving. 1/2

@joyousjoyness I used to keep blank paper and colors at the dining table to do the same. Surprisingly (or maybe not?) quite therapeutic. You've inspired me to do it again. This looks great, love your style. 😊

Just on the Dutch TV: the average price to buy a house is now around 500.000 euros

And that’s for a medium sized house

My parents build their own huge house for about half that 30 years ago

And they wonder why I refuse to get a loan of half a mil to buy a home here

Sometimes stuff feels so pointless here

@stux things are so expensive now. Apparently globally. Where i live the average home is about 1.2 million USD. They're not even amazing, huge homes. Cheap ones are 600k. Even ours that we rent went for 750k and has outdated wiring, is on oil heat and is still on septic instead of sewer despite being right next to sewer lines. It's old. I love it and its history - I was just shocked at the price. I don't understand. It's... Something. I empathize. 😔
