wood fibres

Close-up of a piece of wood against a black background. The wood has not been sawn, but broken naturally, so the fibres are of varying lengths. The longitudinal grain of the wood is clearly visible. Only a small spot in the centre of the image is in sharp focus. The rest is blurred and dissolves into black. This creates great depth and plasticity.

WTF is this cheery thing?

A person's long shadow. A black dog sits in the middle of the shadow. Only the tip of its nose and tail protrude beyond the shadow on the right and left. The ground is a path covered with small stones, pebbles and scattered colourful autumn leaves. On the right, the shadows of a tree or shrub dance across the ground. We see two beings in one.

Fungi have settled in a hollow in a thick beech trunk. They grow on top of each other and have orange-brown caps and creme coloured gills. A symbiotic relationship.
