Fun fact: Deer mandible "saws" have been recovered from several archaeological sites in North America.

@Da_Gut Not only have I recovered many of them as an archaeologist, I also used to hunt white-tailed deer every year. From a side view they look like they should be in a carnivore's mouth.

Degraded sample of freshwater mollusk shells from a blufftop household shell midden at a Late Weeden Island village (Site 8LI76) on the Apalachicola River in Florida. They will be used for shell temper in ceramic reproductions.
