The spreadsheets identify the individual's name, position title (e.g., "Digital Services Expert," "Senior Advisor"), pay plan and grade (e.g., GS-15), and date of entry on duty. Defendants contend that the spreadsheets fall within the Protective Order's definition of "Confidential Information" because they include personnel information in which nonparties possess a reasonable expectation of privacy.

Mayor Jacob Frey. I spoke with President Trump this afternoon and appreciated the conversation. I expressed how much Minneapolis has benefited from our immigrant communities and was clear that my main ask is that Operation Metro Surge needs to end. The president agreed that the present situation cannot continue. Some federal agents will begin leaving the area tomorrow, and I will continue pushing for the rest involved in this operation to go. Minneapolis will continue to cooperate with state and federal law enforcement on real criminal investigations but we will not participate in unconstitutional arrests of our neighbors or enforce federal immigration law. Violent criminals should be held accountable based on the crimes they commit, not based on where they are from. I will continue working with all levels of government to keep our communities safe, keep crime down, and put Minneapolis residents first. I plan to meet with Border Czar Tom Homan tomorrow to further discuss next steps.

    Our apartment building is just out of downtown but on a prominent intersection so I see what's going on. There are always some dogs being walked at any given time, but today there's a steady stream of dog-walking. Trying to get it done before the dogs are all pent up in the houses tomorrow!

    The sky is a hazy opaque gray-white; no more patches of blue. Behind the haze the sun is dropping quickly. The dog-walking rush has calmed. Now begins a surge of flatbed tow trucks and police cars racing around town, ticketing cars that remain in the snow lane and then carrying them away.

    ICE does not know, understand, or care that Puerto Ricans are Americans.
    ICE detains brown and black US citizens.
    ICE disappears Native Americans.
    ICE officials think New Mexico license plates are Mexican vehicles.
    ICE contests official birth certificates if their "infallible" facial recog system disagrees.

    ICE is paid for meeting quotas of detaining people, EVEN IF WRONGLY DETAINED and released later.
