With history I always ask; Who wrote this and who did they write it for?

These are very difficult questions to answer from this distance but we can be certain that the Old Testament is a thoroughly mistranslated 3000 year old collection of lies, myths and actual bullshit.

My father, an unwilling biblical scholar, could read and write Aramaic - the language of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

We used to laugh at the mistranslations of the Jewish and Christian texts many of which are clearly deliberate and are used to cover over contradictions and a deity perfectly willing to encourage his favoured group to commit genocide.

When Joshua attacked Jericho he was encouraged to kill all the men and to sell the women and children into slavery because they were not Jews. (This is from Josephus, a Jewish historian and contemporary of Jesus)

One fairly obvious indicator that Zionism is colonialism is how Jews who emigrated from Eastern Europe in the late 19th/early 20th century integrated into the societies where they settled.

Those who moved to the United States became relatively quickly American. Those who moved to Argentina became Argentinian. Those who moved to South Africa or Canada became, pretty quickly, South African or Canadian.
