Queensland Premier David Crisafulli is refusing to take part in the 2026 national firearms buyback program after the Bondi terrorism. In 1996 Qld partook in buyback after the Port Arthur tragedy but the law changes assisted in shifting votes from the Qld Nats to ONP.
