I know some people can choose to hear music in their heads (no external input) and some can't.

What I'd love to know is how detailed is the music you can hear, if you can hear it?

I feel that as the decades have rolled by and I've recorded more music, my headmusic has become more detailed.

On the FX - every era has its fx biases which seem the only way at the time. In the '80s it was illegal to play bass with no flanger on it. Through a Trace Elliott rig higher than a skyscraper. Now, we're dry and through tiny MarkBass combos that are ten jiggawatts.

Same with reverb. If you love it - EXCESS EVERWHERE! fuck anyone else.

As for 303s, they're the synth equivalent of bitey but totally adorbs chihuahua.
