Thanks! Yes, I'm very medieval-fairy-chic. The brush-roll-up is a classic way to keep your tips in ship-shape and your handles from snapping during transport. Lots of folks use canvas or leather, I just happen to do a lot of felting — It's a fairly forgiving, low-barrier art form if you want to try it out.

It's all scrap felt I made for other projects, 2D it looks like marbled red and white - the wool colours I used. I chose that piece for the belly to represent love.

And I know dick all about sewing, too. The pattern came in plastic pieces I traced, cut, and followed the directions to put together. I did it by hand for extra love (because I don't own a sewing machine.)

I'm surprised anything falls at those temps, must be all the moisture getting freeze-dried out of the air.

The hot water in my kitchen keeps freezing off, even with the special heater installed under the sink to keep the pipes warm.

Bitch away! I'm from the milder weather on the east - Tons of snow for a month and a perfect 17⁰C every other day.

Damn. But isn't skating super fun? I bought cross country skis and binoculars last year to help me enjoy the cold and dark.

I should look into that. The problem is the pipes run through a wall, I call it "The Wall," because it's ice all the fucking time. I can't figure out exactly where it's freezing, and it runs behind built in cabinets. The super special heater was put in because of burst pipes, so I guess it stopped that.

At least, this year, I haven't woken up to indoor winter with the basement heater screaming bloody murder through the house, and had to shuffle outside at Stupid AM to knock the ice off the intake... yet.

Context and tone are so important in therapy. I had trouble with a new counselor because she was far more challenging than my last one, who was more about building my confidence. She kept pushing, lightly, until I defended myself — I told her that suffering isn't a competition and how I feel is valid — when I realized she was trying to get me to own my emotions when I was almost disassociating. She's better than I initially thought, and she treaded that line very well.

This article conveniently sidesteps the implications for abortion, instead focussing on ambiguous rights for the mothers, aside from the right to name an unborn child an heir — which I agree is a good thing.

I'm not too familiar with Puerto Rican law, so I would have liked more information on what it means to assign personhood under civil law.

Can mothers still get medically necessary abortions in the case of an unviable/dangerous pregnancy? Is an ectopic fetus still a full person from the moment of conception? How will that influence medical decisions?

I'm sure plenty of women would like to know.

I'm like 99% infertile, an absolute bonus of a health problem because even the idea of being pregnant gives me anxiety. I can sex it up in god mode without worrying too much about birth control failing.

Being alone is my happy place. I don't even like sharing a bed.

Bad weather is worse for agricultural communities than hunter/gatherers. We're sedentary, currently seeing crop failures and artificially inflated grocery costs.

I'm a forager and my BFF is a hunter. You can absolutely fish and hunt and forage in the winter.
