Believe it when I see it, but hopefully some of the Republicans who like their well-paid jobs as congresspeople will take this threat seriously and not vote to make their Inflation Increasing Act law.

    That they've now started arresting judges and throwing them in jail AND BRAGGING ABOUT IT might end up causing our judiciary to wake up to what Republicans are trying to do to our constitution and country:

    If you want to manufacture or repair laptops within the US with parts that are imported you pay 145% tariffs but if you buy a fully assembled laptop it will add 0% tariffs

    Look, it's fine to disagree with a decision Leader Schumer or anyone makes (I don't think it is wise to vote for this dirty CR personally), but no one has all of the information necessary in order to assert that they know that they made the wrong decision in most cases.

    I agree shutting down our government could very well be worse for more people than the dirty CR, but what I disagree with Schumer on is that there is no way to teach/inform the electorate how bad it would be without it happening.

    The electorate has proven that they have to touch the stove in order to learn if that even will do it then anymore is even debatable, but I don't believe they will without real world demonstration of it because of the power propaganda has gained in the age of the internet.
