It's not that nothing has been done because we're apathetic and don't give a shit; it's that every time some upstart politician tries to garner enough power to institute the wider change needed for an effective solution or response, the richest and most evil people alive band together to make sure they get obliterated in the polls and no legislation ever passes.

I mean there's so much froth and gas coming out at any one time that the odds of hostile microbes managing to colonize the wort is very low, just because it can't even get in. Add in the vicious population difference, and it's no contest.

I tried measuring it after dilution, but OG was somewhere around 1.2, when it should've been around 1.09. I think I didn't dilute enough before measuring lol.

Anyone have tips for working with peppers in your brews?

I'm interested in adding some spicy kick to my next brew, and was wondering if anyone had any tips for adding chili peppers to their brews. Currently, I have a bunch of dried Habanero peppers, but I could conceivably go for other ones. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers!

Yeah, it's for beer. I'm thinking a Vienna or Amber Lager with some heat to it, just for lols.

"lessons learned"

screenshot of followup to the first tweet, also by ...

screenshot of tweet by @BenjaminDEKR with text: OpenClaw is interesting, but will also drain your wallet if you aren't careful. Last night around midnight I loaded my Anthropic API account with $20, then went to bed. When I woke up, my Anthropic balance was $0. Opus was checking "is it daytime yet?" every 30 minutes, paying $0.75 each time to conclude "no, it's still night." Doing literally nothing, OpenClaw spent the entire balance. How? The "Heartbeat" cron job, even though literally the only thing I had going was one silly reminder, ("remind me tomorrow to get milk") 1. Sent ~120,000 tokens of context to Opus 4.5 2. Opus read HEARTBEAT .md, thought about reminders 3. Replied "HEARTBEAT_OK" 4. Cost: ~$0.75 per heartbeat (cache writes) The damage: - Overnight = ~25+ heartbeats - 25 × $0.75 = ~$18.75 just from heartbeats alone - Plus regular conversation = ~$20 total The absurdity: Opus was essentially checking "is it daytime yet?" every 30 minutes, paying $0.75 each time to conclude "no, it's still night." The problem is: 1. Heartbeat uses Opus (most expensive model) for a trivial check 2. Sends the entire conversation context (~120k tokens) each time 3. Runs every 30 minutes regardless of whether anything needs checking That's $750 a month if this runs, to occasionally remind me stuff? Yeah, no. Not great.

Motherfucker blew 20$ in a night, and extrapolated it to several hundred bucks a month. All for what is essentially a labeled alarm. You know, something your phone can already do, no AI necessary, for FREE.

Gaming market melts down after Google reveals new AI game design tool — Project Genie crashes stocks. (A.K.A . Investors panic because they don't understand what "real" videogames are) ( www.tomshardware.com )

Yesterday, Google announced Project Genie, a new generative AI tool that can apparently create entire games from just prompts. It leverages the Genie 3 and Gemini models to generate a 60-second interactive world rather than a fully playable one. Despite this, many investors were scared out of their wits, imagining this as the ...

I went to Fedora in March of 2025. I never looked back. Definitely some frustration with video drivers and hardware issues (bad Samsung monitor), but nothing I haven't been able to work around.

Most importantly, my computer runs great, my games run great, I have more control than ever, and I will never go back to Microslop. Their pivot to "AI EVERYTHING!!!" has been abhorrent, and I refuse to cooperate.

Bitcoin is not a real currency, and anyone suggesting it as a new standard should be mocked. It's too clunky, too slow, and too prone to fraud and theft. The only real uses for Bitcoin are gambling, fraud, and buying drugs.

What we are watching, as this AI insanity continues, is the completely unprovoked and unnecessary ritual suicides of the largest tech companies in the world, all in service of and chasing after the unattainable dream of Infinte Growth™️.

None of this was necessary.
All of this could have been avoided.
Here we are anyway.

When the dust settles, and AI dies, as it was always going to, NEVER LET THEM FORGET that they did this. Never let them forget that they shunned good sense and common decency and sound economics to chase the impossible on nothing more than an annoying, ugly, ungodly expensive and masturbatory dream. That they threw away EVERYTHING to chase something that never worked, was obviously never going to work, and that everyone hates.

Never let them forget it. NEVER.
