Was copious amounts of alcohol involved?

Chef_Boyargee OP ,

Many thanks for that. Those look like reasonable places to start mapping out strategy and hardware investments.

Chef_Boyargee ,

Depends on what you’re selling, I guess

Chef_Boyargee ,

I’ve got a gaggle of kookaburras in the neighborhood too. Only a few lorikeets and an occasional cockatoo.

Chef_Boyargee ,

Heard, Chef!

Chef_Boyargee ,

We always joked about how wild it was that the meteor just barely missed the highway out there

Chef_Boyargee ,

Probably for the better. Even with it having Milla Jovovich, it wasn’t very good.

Dash cam suggestion?

I just got my first car and I was thinking I should probably get a dash cam since it has to stay in the driveway, but I feel out of my depth. I don't have a lot of money so I'm hoping for one that is at most around AU$100. I also think covering both front and rear would be best, but obviously will take advice on that regard. Are ...

Dash Cam Owners Australia has a store that features a lot of different cameras. From their video compilations, it seems like the Blackvue cameras work pretty well. Looks like their offerings range from $230 - $900.

I recall one of the dash cam subreddits had some decent recommendations and I bet the Ars Technica forums would have some as well.

Looks like the laptop that ZeroCool received from Eugene in Hackers.

Chef_Boyargee ,

Looks like an excellent compilation! I haven’t seen Joey’s name in ages. Made me think of this remix by Joey Negro from the Ministry Of Sound Annual 2002.

Chef_Boyargee ,

I think Meow Wolf has an installation in Denver? If it’s anything close to the original in Santa Fe, it should be a pretty great time.

Chef_Boyargee ,

Hot pockets for your hot pockets. Brilliant!

Chef_Boyargee ,

Gotta love those taco flavored kisses!

Chef_Boyargee ,

I used a temperature controller to regulate temps for a freezer I turned into a kegerator. It was a Johnson Controls model, iirc. Not sure what similar options would be outside the US though, if that’s a thing for you.

Maybe check out a local home brewing shop? Looks like on average, prices range anywhere from $50-$500US depending on how fancy you want to get.

There’s a special something about pickled okra.

Close second is pickled watermelon rind.

Edit: Almost forgot about Maille brand Cornichons. So good, especially with pate, or some liver wurst

Chef_Boyargee ,

Absolutely. Tends to be a southern United States thing. Pickled Watermelon

Chef_Boyargee ,

Can fit so many jondoms in that pocket for all the sexy times that thing is bringing in!

Chef_Boyargee ,

Ima bit rusty, is that Shin Chan?

Chef_Boyargee ,

I’m not really seeing where the problem is. Smother that baby in cheese and chile and you’re good to go. Pun intended.

Chef_Boyargee ,

Can’t forget the pickled okra!

Chef_Boyargee ,

I’d sell an appendage to have a proper wok burner in my kitchen appropriate ventilation and fire protection included

Chef_Boyargee ,

Nice one! Rooty was an absolute banger of an album.

Chef_Boyargee ,

Massive Attack is such a vibe. Dog bless them. Excellent post 🙏

All-Clad pans are some of the best, imo. Otherwise, look at the stuff that’s available for restaurant/commercial use. Often, they’re not the prettiest, but they’ll take a lifetime of use in a home kitchen.

Serious Eats does some great reviews of gear too, they may have something that works for you. They are U.S.-centric though, so if you’re in a civilized country, those options might not be available.

And the soggiest, sweat-drenched, sticky dollar bill

Chef_Boyargee ,

Elbow ditch for me. Shadows being finished up around the 6 hour mark. I definitely got a bit squirmy. Well worth it though.

Well, you get the idea. I can never get gifs to work right.

Chef_Boyargee ,

Thanks!

Chef_Boyargee ,

Too soon, mate

Probably the closest I could say would be either parachute pants or Hammer pants?

Edit: Hammer pants are apparently considered a modified harem pant

Hammer Pants

Ziploc hit with class-action lawsuit for allegedly misleading claims: 'Leading consumers to believe they are … without risk' ( www.yahoo.com )

As such, Ziploc bags are alleged to be "fundamentally unfit for microwave and freezer use" despite their labeling, which has been "leading consumers to believe they are fit to be microwaved and frozen without risk of microplastics leaching into their food." Consumers may have "unwittingly exposed themselves and their families to ...

What a glorious piece of history. Very cool!

I’ve enjoyed the AirPod pro foam tips from ADV. They’re a decent middle ground. Granted, I’m using AirPods, nothing super special. Eartune Fidelity UF-A

Holy crap, that’s a major trip back in time. Excellent post!

The Montessori Jacket Flip is really useful. Our kiddo learned it in preschool, but a head start never hurts.
