Roommate and I played the demo and really enjoyed it. We'll play when the game is on sale, the other negative reviews are about the price when it's only 4 hours long and I agree it's too expensive for what it is.

Prequel movie interest or opinion doesn't matter, the first game on N64/Dreamcast/PC was incredible regardless. I replayed recently and it's still good. Love the damage model/repairing and being able to buy used parts from the junkyard, and maybe controversial but I vastly prefer Racer handling and course design to Wipeout.

I didn't watch the Disney stuff at all and won't, potentially this scratches the same itch. I hope so anyways. I couldn't get into the PS2 sequel so it's possible to disappoint.

A big thing is gOS not using JIT compiling. So, app updates are pretty slow but this kills a lot of malware exploits.

That and privacy, you also have a lot of control over what each app can do with gOS's permissions settings vs standard ROM and most of that is enabled by default. Can break some apps, especially banking related. I have 122 installed, of that three gave me a little bit of trouble where I had to disable some protections to get them functional. DeGoogled by default, I use microG for some limited Play services to get stuff like Youtube Revanced working.

Take notes from Wheel of Time too that was a travesty. I think it's a very flawed book series, but adding the show runner's egos needing to deviate so heavily from canon on top of that killed all potential.

    I aim for less than $500. In Canada, so...

    It's a lot of pork, beans, rice, frozen veggies, unsweetened Coconut not-milk. I buy some store brand junk food too I'll admit. The sausage and cheese addiction inflates costs too. Fresh fruit usually I just get banana, kiwi, and watermelon sometimes if it's on sale. I buy some frozen fruit but it's much less than veggie. I don't need the calories.

    I help my roomie out who is on AISH he's autistic enough to qualify but before he moved in it was a lot of bulk barn dry pasta, rice, beans and then no name brand pasta sauce cans supplemented with food bank :( I only charge him $450 for rent so he can eat better now.
