Went out at 7 in the 8 this evening. The first time the river has been rowable in weeks. It was fun. I nearly remembered how to do it, but luckily 6 took all the heat from coach and stroke kept missing his instructions, so I got away with it.
A beautiful evening.

Confirmed this morning that if I do 15' active 2' rest I can essentially row forever without my back bothering me or, importantly, dying of boredom.

Just kind of ended up rowing a half marathon, had open slot after my workout time and just kept going, saw 21097 was in reach and felt okay so pressed on until I passed it. Unfortunately got a little blister but it'll be okay.

Aug '24, my cousin's daughter Holly!
Next weekend, the family will be at Head of the Charles in to watch her.

"Great Britain took gold in the U23 women’s pair when Anna Grace and Holly Youd got out fast at 45 strokes per minute, established an early lead and maintained that position throughout."

I just spent 45 minutes with my daughter figuring out the theoretical logistics of non-stop (an 8+1) from Chicago to the Gulf of Mexico. It turns out to be technically possible!
