Disregard occurring week, make frivolous patchwork blocks and listen to podcast 😶

Same block as before in the background, with another on top. Mostly pinks and blues and greens in the previous one, this one is browns and pinks and oranges. It looks nice. Sini's hand with her usual rings on top, for scale. The finished block is about 16cm by 16cm.
Another scrap block, this time with even smaller pieces and wilder colour combinations. There's floral and botanical motifs on the fabrics, but also one with tiny little cats. There's a bunch of embroidery on this one, too, and this time it's not even any kind of seam. A half finished big pink flower partially in frame.

I like flowers.

Close up of another block, with sort of more traditional sakura branch motifs in different colours, with tiny little bird's eye stitch blossoms. They're on top of criss crossing tiny little patches of scraps sewn together, and sort of harmonise and contrast with the colours, here mostly blue, beige, pink and browns. A tiny scrap of fabric has just the ears and eyes of a blue cat, peeking out. Sini's fingertips just in frame, showing the tiny scale of everything.

They're pretty chaotic and erratic, and there's a larger embroidered flower with a little bit of beads on the left one, and the right is a more coherent whole with the flower stalks all radiating from a point and despite the colours being different for each one, are all of similar enough style to look put together. The fabrics are all very colourful, if not even loud. Small thread snips in oil slick colours on the blocks.

    More. This one's not done yet, but I enjoy the technicolour fern leaf and will get distracted later.

    A patchwork block on a desk, made up of small pieces and strips of fabric, with embroidery over some of the seams and bigger motifs on top of multiple pieces patched together. There's some fairly sedate flowers and a big old leaf done in chain stitch, in a sort of whorl of a fern configuration. It's done in two variegated threads, going between hues of red, pink, orange, yellow and white. It looks pretty chaotic, but is also tidily done. There's touches of all these same colours on the patches the block is made up of. Sini's hand is on the block edge, for colour comparison, and the tip of the tail of a ginger tabby cat.

    Yesterday's and today's patches for my blanket
    The thin thread is Symfonie Knitpro. I used it in a pair of socks. I very much enjoyed this yarn.
    The chunky thread is Hjertegarn Milano, maybe bought in Åre, so I turned the rest of that ball into an Åre hat today. It's nice and soft and muffles my migraine.

    Today's is a complete mystery, but I have a very fuzzy memory of being taught to knit with purple yarn, so I wonder if that's what the purple leftovers are from?

    A long simple hat knitted from the chunky green yarn. Turns it it changes colors from mutagen green to forest green, and also visits the domains of navy and hints of grey.
    A deep indigo patch and a light blue patch from very normal yarn. (Not thick, not thin, no color or texture variations, etc.)

    I got almost all the I did during my vacation attached to the main body of the blanket.
    Here's where it is at now.
    I still have some four or five lying around that need to be attached. I think it's about 75% ready, but all the edges still need to be crocheted, and there are a lot of loose threads on the back.

    The end of draws near.
    I've knitted and attached all my squares. Now I need to start cleaning it up and crocheting the edges. So this means Ihave about a week to tidy up the threads, crochet a border, and then try to block it. This should be 187 squares.
    The front looks a lot more ready than the back.
