More unsourced LucasArts source code assets mysteriously turned up on Mixnmojo: in this case, the EGA background of Sam & Max's office from the SCUMM training program.
i am both horrified and proud to announce that it took 29 years but i finally finished a quest in Indiana Jones and His Desktop Adventures 😅
what an insanely underrated game. some of the procedural puzzle generation is extremely subtle and absolutely impervious to bugs due to exceptional design.
I just spent a few hours to re-scan some of my old CDs from the "Bestseller Games" magazines. I know, these CD-ROMs are pretty much everywhere on the internet, but I wanted to have better scans of my originals. These discs are precious to me!
Here's the original disc from Bestseller Games, Vol. 1 from 1994. It contains the German VGA release of "Indiana Jones III - Der letzte Kreuzzug" for MS-DOS. Maybe it is useful to someone. Have fun!
Is this the legacy of
Too much for too few
That I see?
The kind of legacy that's
Tossin' some good men
To their knees.
This album formed part of the soundtrack for Lucas Arts' adventure "Full Throttle". I think it is rather rare on this side of the Atlantic. Not sure The Gone Jackals ever had much success. But the album is great!
This gem of a game came out in September 19, 2022 and this month we get to celebrate two whole years since we got to revisit Melee Island all over again
Ever since my brother passed away I have struggled with anxiety and grief. My therapist suggested I try drawing again as a way to cope with difficult emotions
And I ended up I doodling all of Return to Monkey Island characters
I just kept on doodling and that is how I ended up creating Monkey Island Shenanigans. It was my way to show my love and support to the devs and reconnect with things that bring me joy
I absolutely love Return to Monkey Island and I will always be thankful for it ❤️
Everyone's favorite LucasArts in-game reference between Maniac Mansion and Zak McKracken
You find the chainsaw in Maniac Mansion, and then a year later the can of fuel in Zak McKracken. And as a bonus, another Zak reference about it in Maniac Mansion
This one isn't particularly in Zak McKracken, but my favorite Zak McKracken reference in Maniac Mansion instead. Maniac Mansion being another fantastic game I love
I should post more about Zak McKracken, that way more people get to learn more about this LucasArts gem
Zak McKracken is a point and click game about saving the world from stupidity. Aliens want to take over while they dumb down people via mainstream media
