So it's my cat-dragon Maal'amin (or me :BlobCatGiggle:) eating 🍣
At least I drew it culturally sitting at the table, not greedily jumping at the food, like after thousands years of starving :blobcatjoy:

New key creation... Tired ... Because even with superhuman powers one could also be tired sometimes.

I "felt" both his silhouette and these colours looking at that terminal.

Small cut of screenshot of black terminal, with ssh key randomart. It's shape is similar to silhouette of man in first picture.

This is Bookworm, one of characters in my self-satire story "Astral Butterflies' Chronicles" I tried to write on lucid dreaming forum. This weird (or maybe one of the least weird in that world) guy was a librarian in main character's astral enclave and this one trying to keep things in order.
I described him as humanoid, insect-like gentleman smaller than human, sometimes behaving like grumpy old man annoyed by noisy youth.

My fiction features strong female protagonists, such as Jacqueline Farmington in BEER POUR, the United States Vice President. One of my favorite films with a strong female protagonist was "The Contender" with the brilliant Joan Allen and Jeff Bridges. Allen was being vetted to be the U.S. Vice President, and the amazing Gary Oldman was trying everything he could to stop her. A fabulous cast and a terrific film from 2000.

Have you noticed how sport players tend to pull down the neckline of their uniform/jerseys with both hands as if trying to escape it? Do any other professions do this?

Inspired by some photos of owls with towels on heads, one looking like wearing weird headdress. It HAD TO be done :blobcatjoy:

One day I just randomly imagined this , like nonexistent cartoon . I thought of him as someone similar to Abu in Aladdin movies, both in looks and behavior (and maybe also his role in that nonexistent cartoon... but also played with thought of him being sentient creature talking with people).

A MacGuffins, in fiction, doesn”t need to be something everyone wants. It can be an item one character (crucial to the plot) wants. It doesn’t need to be the protagonist who wants it.. A McGuffin, does not define the protagonist/antagonist.

Everybody knows is a meme, so I also joke about crabs with my friends. After some online gaming session we mentioned "crab-man" and I tried to imagine how it could look like. I create this but don't like final result very much. I feel I should attempt to do it better in the future.

My "guardian devil" Vis'Sai, from my "private mythology" from the past. Child on this could be me, but also character from my stories.

It was first time after ~15 years I drew him in this half-dragon humanoid form.

Draw this long time ago and almost forgot about it. Now I want to publish it near Halloween time. For some reasons rabbits, especially masks like here, or plushies, are often used in horror settings. Usually in some psychedelic style - and it was something I wanted to achieve with this .

This doesn't have any story, he was just meant exactly to look like dark, surreal horror movie/game character. Maybe as personification of "voice in one's head".

After years of thinking about it, I decided I developed enough skills to create a picture of "my private ". In 2011 I called her A.A.N.S, few years later, after I heard her name in dream, I also called her Fe'i. And many other names... Bottomless Pit, Queen Of Certainty (or Certainty Free Of Doubt), Queen Of Butterfly Effect, Always Hungry Lady, Never Satisfied Goddess, Lady Of Eternal Desire...

There were more of that and I have problem with translating these to English :blobcatsweat:

In first version of my private mythology she was simply "mother and lover of thunders", of earth (as in grounded things, not nature), kind of entity waiting underground, in "potential well", for lightning to strike, to feed on light and energy. Later I saw her as force behind long series of events in my life (so connected with butterfly effect). And now, because I called her Certainty Free Of Doubt, I sometimes identify her also as goddess of cryptography, or maybe kind of syncretic deity... well, deity of cryptography would be shapeshifting and with many faces and forms anyway... something like Wael from Pillars of Eternity :blobcatjoy:

Good morning, friends. 🎩🎓🧢

17 October 2025

I was just looking at my old blue LA baseball cap. It brought a few thoughts to mind—chief among them, "I should really wash that." It’s the hat I wear when walking or working in the yard, and it’s been with me for years. One of my favorites. The other is a khaki cap with a blue LA embroidered on the front. But the blue one, being older, seems to carry a bit more character.

Can hats have character? Of course they can. They lend it—visually, at least—to whoever puts them on. It’s a bit like the Sorting Hat in Harry Potter. Except instead of assigning a house, the typical hat assigns its wearer an air of... something. A subtle shift. Suddenly the person looks suave, tougher, smarter—or maybe just a little goofy.

For men, hats can take on an even more defining role. Especially for those who are balding and sensitive about it. Personally, my thoughts are more along the lines of “it happens,” or more accurately, “it happened.” It’s just part of life. And anyway, the hat covers the evidence of alopecia. I’ve known guys who wore their hats religiously—months, even years—never taking them off. Then one day, the truth was revealed.

But really, hair or hats don’t define a person, do they? They might tweak the appearance, nudge the impression. But what’s inside—that’s what counts. As for me, I wear a hat to keep the sun out of my eyes and the rain off my glasses.

“Hats change the shape of your face. They change the way people see you.” — Catherynne M. Valente

“People who worry about their hair all the time, frankly, are boring.” — Barbara Bush

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson

Created it after seeing some photo here. That species with these feathers on head (I don't remember its name), looking like cartoon mad :blobcat_amused: Even on this photo it had "crazy man's gaze".
So I thought I could do mad scientist of it.

BEER POUR is my latest release, and the third of three books I published this year; the other two were straight-up romances. There is a lovely romance within the pages of my general fiction satire, BEER POUR. The lonely Vice President of the United States falls in love with a handsome exec. producer during her one nutty week in Hollywood while completing a crucial diplomatic mission.
