So it's my cat-dragon Maal'amin (or me :BlobCatGiggle:) eating #sushi 🍣
At least I drew it culturally sitting at the table, not greedily jumping at the food, like after thousands years of starving :blobcatjoy:
Drawing of a teal furry cat-dragon creature sitting at the table, having big platter of sushi and tea in dark gray teapot. The creature has long neck, cat-like face, but with longer nose, cat ears, dark purple mane, two pairs of horns and scaly forearms. It is wearing a shawl and golden earring. This picture have blurry purple background, contained in oval frame.
This is Bookworm, one of characters in my self-satire story "Astral Butterflies' Chronicles" I tried to write on lucid dreaming forum. This weird (or maybe one of the least weird in that world) guy was a librarian in main character's astral enclave and this one trying to keep things in order.
I described him as humanoid, insect-like gentleman smaller than human, sometimes behaving like grumpy old man annoyed by noisy youth.
Cartoon style drawing of a gray humanoid creature with big round head. He is short and bald, with two pairs of insect antennae on his head. He is wearing grandpa-style beige suit and small round glasses.
A graphic that reads "Commissions! Portrait $30, Full Body $50, *Check out the Google Form for more details" It then has Winslow sitting on an implied surface smoking a cigarette.
Relating to a movie that came out in 2000 about a woman seeking the office of V.P. of the U.S. My book's female protagonist is the Vice President of the United States.
Have you noticed how sport players tend to pull down the neckline of their uniform/jerseys with both hands as if trying to escape it? Do any other professions do this?
This is dark #owl#wizard... or #shaman.
Inspired by some photos of owls with towels on heads, one looking like wearing weird headdress. It HAD TO be done :blobcatjoy:
Cartoon style portrait of an owl, wearing dark blue headscarf and red robe with blue sleeves. This owl is brown, with big yellow eyes. It has one golden amulet on forehead, second, with glyph symbol, on neck, another, stone amulet on neck and necklace made of white and brown beads. This character is looking straight at viewer, looking rather symmetric it his pose.
One day I just randomly imagined this #creature, like nonexistent cartoon #character. I thought of him as someone similar to Abu in Aladdin movies, both in looks and behavior (and maybe also his role in that nonexistent cartoon... but also played with thought of him being sentient creature talking with people).
Cartoon style drawing of a pale yellow creature, something between fennec and squirrel, also slightly humanoid. It has a tail longer than the rest of its body and here it is standing on it, like sitting on a high chair. It is turned back from viewer but looking at right side of the picture. The creature is wearing red vest and small purple fez with yellow pattern. There is small fragment of wooden chest and round purple jar in the background.
A MacGuffins, in fiction, doesn”t need to be something everyone wants. It can be an item one character (crucial to the plot) wants. It doesn’t need to be the protagonist who wants it.. A McGuffin, does not define the protagonist/antagonist.
Everybody knows #crab is a meme, so I also joke about crabs with my friends. After some online gaming session we mentioned "crab-man" and I tried to imagine how it could look like. I create this #drawing but don't like final result very much. I feel I should attempt to do it better in the future.
Cartoon style drawing of a slightly humanoid crab creature. It has human-like chest and arms, with big crab claws as hands. Bottom part of its body is more crab-like, with four segmented limbs and its head has shape of crab shell. The creature is red, with some brown parts on belly and joints. There is gray-blue circle with smaller dots as a background.
Cartoon style drawing with hard lines and strong colours. Kid with long black hair, probably girl is hugging humanoid demon with brown fur on legs, red membrane wings and red dragon head. The demon is holding spear in his free right hand. They are in kind of church or chapel, standing under stained glass window, between to pillars. There are beam of sunlight flowing inside through the window, like a halo behind them.
Digital painting of forest critters poorly disguised with a trench coat. An owl, fox, skunk, raccoon, porcupine, mouse and deer can be seen peeking through.
Draw this long time ago and almost forgot about it. Now I want to publish it near Halloween time. For some reasons rabbits, especially masks like here, or plushies, are often used in horror settings. Usually in some psychedelic style - and it was something I wanted to achieve with this #drawing.
This #character doesn't have any story, he was just meant exactly to look like dark, surreal horror movie/game character. Maybe as personification of "voice in one's head".
Cartoon style drawing of a character with pale gray rabbit mask. He is wearing loose white shirt with rolled up sleeves, green trousers and blue vest with golden pattern. He has red scarf around his neck and darker one instead of belt in trousers. His rabbit mask has some red lines and circle, some lines look like bloody tears. He is carrying long stick with short green ribbons on its top.
After years of thinking about it, I decided I developed enough #drawing skills to create a picture of "my private #goddess". In 2011 I called her A.A.N.S, few years later, after I heard her name in dream, I also called her Fe'i. And many other names... Bottomless Pit, Queen Of Certainty (or Certainty Free Of Doubt), Queen Of Butterfly Effect, Always Hungry Lady, Never Satisfied Goddess, Lady Of Eternal Desire...
There were more of that and I have problem with translating these to English :blobcatsweat:
In first version of my private mythology she was simply "mother and lover of thunders", #deity of earth (as in grounded things, not nature), kind of entity waiting underground, in "potential well", for lightning to strike, to feed on light and energy. Later I saw her as force behind long series of events in my life (so connected with butterfly effect). And now, because I called her Certainty Free Of Doubt, I sometimes identify her also as goddess of cryptography, or maybe kind of syncretic deity... well, deity of cryptography would be shapeshifting and with many faces and forms anyway... something like Wael from Pillars of Eternity :blobcatjoy:
Drawing of a woman wearing old-school dress, with loose white sleeves and brown corset. Her outfit is decorated with leaves on her waist and shoulders. She has long brown hair, loose in back part and two small braids on both sides. Her crown is made of black horns or spikes. The woman is carrying gray metal ball in right hand and release lightning from left hand. She is surrounded by light beams, seemingly flowing from her head. In the background are blurry dark trees.
I was just looking at my old blue LA baseball cap. It brought a few thoughts to mind—chief among them, "I should really wash that." It’s the hat I wear when walking or working in the yard, and it’s been with me for years. One of my favorites. The other is a khaki cap with a blue LA embroidered on the front. But the blue one, being older, seems to carry a bit more character.
Can hats have character? Of course they can. They lend it—visually, at least—to whoever puts them on. It’s a bit like the Sorting Hat in Harry Potter. Except instead of assigning a house, the typical hat assigns its wearer an air of... something. A subtle shift. Suddenly the person looks suave, tougher, smarter—or maybe just a little goofy.
For men, hats can take on an even more defining role. Especially for those who are balding and sensitive about it. Personally, my thoughts are more along the lines of “it happens,” or more accurately, “it happened.” It’s just part of life. And anyway, the hat covers the evidence of alopecia. I’ve known guys who wore their hats religiously—months, even years—never taking them off. Then one day, the truth was revealed.
But really, hair or hats don’t define a person, do they? They might tweak the appearance, nudge the impression. But what’s inside—that’s what counts. As for me, I wear a hat to keep the sun out of my eyes and the rain off my glasses.
“Hats change the shape of your face. They change the way people see you.” — Catherynne M. Valente
“People who worry about their hair all the time, frankly, are boring.” — Barbara Bush
“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
"A single red petunia commands the frame, its velvety petals unfurling like ceremonial fabric. The bloom is saturated with deep crimson, each petal etched with fine, branching veins that resemble tributaries of a mythic river. The surface glows with a soft sheen, as if brushed with dusk light. At the flower’s center, a dark, nearly black core draws the eye inward—its greenish halo suggesting a quiet pulse, a sovereign threshold between bloom and mystery.
Created it after seeing some #penguin photo here. That species with these feathers on head (I don't remember its name), looking like cartoon mad #scientist :blobcat_amused: Even on this photo it had "crazy man's gaze".
So I thought I could do mad scientist of it.
Cartoon style drawing of a big penguin in lab coat, with long, narrow yellow feathers sticking from sides of his head. He is peeking out from behind the door, with crazy/nasty look. There is cloud of dark smoke floating above his head. Text on bottom part: Yes, it was explosion in my lab. Why do you ask?
Nature #cultist during celebration... based on my own photo from Slavic Solstice holiday, but I didn't imagine this #character is me. Yes, on original picture I was holding drinking horn so big, this part is not "artistic vision" :blobcatgiggle:
Cartoon style drawing of a young woman, on blurry forest background. The woman is almost naked, only wearing kind of underwear made of leaves and flowers and flower wreath on her short black hair. She is holding huge drinking horn, longer than her torso. There is golden glow, suggesting fire nearby and sparks floating in the air. In the background there are two trees and dense bushes.
BEER POUR is my latest release, and the third of three books I published this year; the other two were straight-up romances. There is a lovely romance within the pages of my general fiction satire, BEER POUR. The lonely Vice President of the United States falls in love with a handsome exec. producer during her one nutty week in Hollywood while completing a crucial diplomatic mission. #Romance#Romancelandia#fiction#character#book#books#Bookstodon#love#Novel#novels#story#Storytelling
Within my book BEER POUR, there is a subplot of a romance developing between the U.S. Vice President and a handsome producer she meets in Hollywood while wrapping up a critical diplomatic mission.
