And admire the tasty pretzel buns we made today :D Feel free to DM for the recipe.
16 golden-brown pretzel buns with a white scored cross on the top of each, sitting on top of a gas stove. You can practically smell the delicious scent of fresh-baked bread through the photo, and feel an overwhelming urge to bake something tasty for your own household.
20 PRs, and something like 50 posts  That's right, it's another #bevymergetrain ! Web multithreading, fancy SIMD ECS features, responsive font sizes, a Mwriting Monday Miracle and a whole bunch of cleanup.
A fun mid-length train this week, with an unexpected subtheme on "how we can we easily allow users to migrate their code between versions". Thanks #bevy, it's always a pleasure to write these <3
No #bevymergetrain today, sorry! Off sick: I got my annual flu and COVID vax, which is very good, but comes at a great and terrible cost (a day or two of enforced rest). Take care y'all; I'll see you next week.
Another week, another #bevymergetrain :) I really enjoyed the digression about async executors and when to NIH key dependencies, and I'm quite pleased about all of the little cleanup work that the community has prepared for us!
Hey #bevy :) I'm in the mood for a special edition of the weekly #bevymergetrain: expanding our focus from community-reviewed PRs to also cover a bout of issue and PR triage. Follow along, and see how the #opensource sausage is made! You might even learn a thing or two about #rust or #gamedev.
Hey #bevy :) It's time for your weekly #bevymergetrain. While we're still hard at work nailing down the last couple of problems for 0.17, the #bevymergetrain must go on.
No #bevymergetrain today: CI is down, we're into the last stretch of the release candidate prep (please, I beg you, no more bugs) and I'm taking the day off to rest. TTYL!
Hi #bevy ! It may be release season, but it's time for a quick #bevymergetrain. As I explained this morning in a mentoring meeting with a PM from #godot (!), each week, I go over the community-approved PRs and make a final call.
Alright, it's time for some serious #bevy project management. Our planned 0.17 release candidate date of August 4th is approaching quickly, and we still have an alarming 78 issues and PRs in our milestone: https://github.com/bevyengine/bevy/milestone/32
Without further ado, let's get into this. This work is going to be broken into multiple threads, as Fedica (my cross-posting solution) has a 50 message limit. One post per milestone item, just like the classic #bevymergetrain . please feel free to jump into the linked threads or comment directly!
#bevy 0.17 release season may be upon us, but until the release candidate is cut, we will continue to merge small community-approved features and fixes. Before I triage the milestone today, let's do a quick #bevymergetrain <3 Tiny 3 item train today, as folks prepare for the release :)
Alright, back in the conductor's seat for another #bevymergetrain. Love #bevy, #rust, #opensource or #gamedev? Marvel at the gloriously chaotic, productive and creative process of engine dev as I go over 29 PRs that the community thinks we should merge!
Another week, another #bevymergetrain for the #bevy crew :) As is now tradition, I'm going to go over the community-approved (that means you!) PRs for our #opensource#rust game engine.
Hey #bevy, it's time for your weekly #bevymergetrain. There were 5 community-approved #opensource PRs, so this should be a nice chill roundup, right? Wait, there's 20?!
Hey #bevy :D It's time for your weekly #bevymergetrain, where I go over the community-reviewed #opensource PRs for the #rustlang game engine that I help maintain!
I'm taking a break from the seasonal festivities (banning trolls), and banging out this week's #bevymergetrain <3 Let's see what the #bevy community has cooked up and reviewed this week!
