A woman in a giant forest green, bustled dress towers high above the street. She is wearing a crown... and an expression much like Glinda the Good Witch when she arrives in her bubble in the 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz.
One of many ideas for Japanese woodblock prints I sketched about six or seven years ago. There was some lack of communication and none of them ended up as a final product. But I like some of them. They would make interesting illustrations too.
A very blurry photo of young me in my grandfather's wellingtons showing off the eggs I've just fetched and a curious dog named Topsy watching in the corner.
A portrait of a young man in a denim police officer's shirt, black tie, and black gloves. He has his arms crossed and is standing in front of a metal door gate painted the same color as the Golden Gate bridge.
I should probably also mention he is wearing a full, head covering, rubber Doberman mask. And he has a big smile painted on that mask. His eyes are soft and kind behind that dog mask.
On top of an old rotted log there's a patch of rich, green moss. On top of the moss is what looks like an endless patch of tiny tan parasol type mushrooms with dark brown/reddish stems and a light tan veined caps. iNat suggests it is Cross-veined Troop Mushroom.
New entries to the snail and art parade! This time it's "The One Mundane Spot" (something I drew while pivoting my research from Chinese to old Norse religion) and the start of the gardening snail story "Knightly Pests". You can grab a printable jpg for as little as $1 and help me through my last term of storyboard and comic studies. (If you liked the last ones they're still in the shop.)
Colorful illustration of an armored knight riding on a giant sea horse (armored as well), surrounded by the kelp forest and swimming fish. He’s holding a banner where we can read ‘Ad absurdum’.
Mural by Keith Haring (completed March 4, 1986) on the façade of the former depot of the "Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam" / cold storage facility of the Central Market Halls ("Centrale Markthallen"), Amsterdam, Netherlands, June 1986
Black and white photograph of a wallpainting by artist Keith Haring on a brick wall of the façade of the former depot of the "Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam" once a cold storage facility of the Central Market Halls in Amsterdam, Netherlands, June 1986. Keith Haring completed the mural looking like a sea monster or dinosaur with a characteristic Keith Haring figure on his back with white paint and brush in one day: March 4, 1986. Haring signed the piece with three Andreas crosses (from the city flag of Amsterdam) and KH86.
An illustration inspired by one of my favorite songs by Sonata Arctica :BlobhajHeart:
I made it for class long ago, inked with fineliner drawing pens.
Ten years later, I scanned it and painted it on Procreate app and it’s been one of my favorite works ever since :D
Cover art for the song The Boy Who Wanted to Be a Real Puppet by Sonata Arctica. It shows a pair of marionette hands holding a little anatomical heart from which is surrounded by black threads attached to it. The background is an open red theatre curtain. The words Sonata Arctica and the song’s title appear at the top and bottom of the illustration, respectively.
A person is sitting by a window, gazing out at a tranquil beach scene during sunset. The sky displays soft pastel colors, while the ocean is visible in the background. Green foliage is seen outside the window, contributing to a serene atmosphere.
