Brrr... new introduction time cause my old one is already outdated lol.
I am Sinclair-Speccy, your local resident computer nerd that can’t actually do a lot of tech stuff like people think. My primary interests are #Linux, #OldTech, and #OStan. You’ll usually find me boosting retro tech content and occasionally posting it myself, mostly retro tech ads.
My interest in emulation all started when I managed to run Yggdrasil Linux from the '90s (I know, so interesting /s). Despite having used XP as my first OS other older OSes (mostly Linux ones) interest me more if you look at the media I've posted on my account besides the tech ads.
I’ve moved around a bit online as I started on .art as my friend was there, then bitbang.social and now oldbytes.space.
One of my favourite niche fandoms is OS-tans which is turning operating systems and hardware into anime characters, though I tend to call them tech gijinkas. I even have my own tech gijinkas universe that is hosted on my site.
A bearded Santa in a red coat and brass goggles works intently at a bench, tuning a clockwork reindeer with exposed gears and a glowing timepiece core.
Golden sparks fly from his tool as warm workshop light meets cool winter blue from a snowy window, creating a magical, cinematic contrast.
Display it in a living room, office, or holiday entryway for a playful seasonal statement. It complements industrial decor, copper accents, dark wood, and cozy warm lighting for a steampunk-inspired vignette.
Ideal for Christmas lovers, steampunk collectors, makers, and anyone who enjoys whimsical winter storytelling with vintage mechanical details.
⚙️🫡 Steampunk Commander. An abandoned #ArtDeco control room inside an emergency standby powerplant, somewhere in #Belgium.
Navy blue panels line the walls, each set with analogue dials and levers. Two removed dials rest on the central desk, like top hats left behind by a Steampunk gentleman. Large windows and skylights fill the room with soft late-afternoon light.
This image shows an old, dusty control panel with gauges, switches, and levers, suggesting an abandoned industrial setting. Sunlight streams through grimy windows, illuminating the decay.
The headmaster sighed as he signed the contract. It made sense for the school to be used in the evenings when it was empty. And it would help make ends meet, with all the recent cutbacks.
"Make sure everything is clean and tidy by 7am, or the deal is off."
The woman across the desk from him nodded, "We will." She was wearing a steampunk outfit, complete with a bizarre monocle in one eye.
"One more thing: Let me show you how to turn off the CCTV."
And so began a beautiful partnership, with evening adult activities in the school growing and flourishing. On different nights you might find erotic poetry readings in the classrooms; kink performance in the auditorium; make your own sex toys sessions in the workshop; and furries jumping on the equipment in the gymnasium — and on each other. There were even naked cookery lessons in the kitchen. No one was sure what the steampunk crew were doing in the lab.
The local alternative communities thrived, and the school saved the library and offered free hot meals for those in need.

We are live! The new novella in the Desolation series has just launched on KS. Now's a great time to get into the series with special discounts and bundles for the first two books.
I always find this kind of (embarrassing is not the word, but makes me slightly uncomfortable for some reason) weird. A brand new review is up for my next book from an ARC I sent out. It's five stars. Lovely. (ick) But also insightful. Someone who gets what I'm trying to do. Read it here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/7858633118
This image (digital art) shows a massive steampunk or mechanical lion standing proudly on top of an ornate, intractly designed clocktower. The lion combines realistic features, such as a flowing mane and lifelike face, with intricate brass and mechanical elements integrated into its body. The clocktower beneath it is adorned with large gears, domes, and Roman numeral clock faces, set against a bright blue sky filled with fluffy clouds. The scene blends realism with fantasy, creating a majestic guardian-like presence.

Woman Dreadlocks And Red Hibiscus Flowers by Joan Stratton - paintingsbyjoan.com
A steampunk-inspired female figure is adorned with gear-shaped accessories and brass goggles atop her head. She is fierce and determined, nothing phases her. Vivid red hibiscus flowers, her favourite are twisting into her dreadlocks, and she has adorned her body with tattoos of them sleeving her arms and neck. Flashes of strong red and greens contrasting with the mechanical components that are integrated into her attire and background.
Ether Art – A hand-drawn drawing / painting using the exciting modern art form, where art is created from scratch using a computer in lieu of a real canvas and paint, water colour, pastel, pencil, charcoal etc I create digital art from the ether, exactly the same as if I was starting with a blank canvas.
Even your dog will enjoy the first novella in the Desolation saga, still available on Kickstarter for a special, discounted price. Join the start of something really fun and exciting.
"Striking, profound, humorous, and bold" "A rollicking ride!"
Was ist
Naja. Viel Spaß?
